  • 5/5 from Theresa King, attended Jun 2026: This was a birthday present as I’ve always wanted to try pottery. Beth was really helpful and gave clear instructions so hopefully I will end up with something useable after the firing. Even on this taster day. Lovely setting and relaxing atmosphere. The other girl(so sorry I didn’t catch your name) was also a lovely teacher and guided us to make something recognisable on the wheel. It was a very positive experience and has definitely whetted my appetite to do more
  • 4/5 from Lisa Lemon, attended Jun 2026: my husband were really keen to try our hand at pottery. this taster day gave us a very brief "snapshot " of using the wheel.- easier than it looks!!, and of getting a feel for the clay/ techniques used to make a mug. Would have liked a slighty longer day and maybe tried coiling as well l.. but all in all a really enjoyable day.. beth and amanda were really knowledgable (as well as patient and talented) very peaceful location and great vibe.
  • 5/5 from Alexandra Franklin, attended May 2026: We really enjoyed the day. The class was very informative, beautiful venue and we met some lovely people. Thank you so much!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Rogers, attended Apr 2026: Beth was a brilliant teacher. We met a wonderful group of people. The venue is stunning, Bob the horse was an additional treat. Welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed making my bowl and having a go on the wheel. Have already recommended to friends and family. Will be booking another class soon. Thanks again Beth, can't wait to pick up our bowls.

  • 5/5 from Liann O'Shea, attended Mar 2026: My husband and I had a fantastic pottery taster session today as part of our celebrations for our wedding anniversary. The instructions were really clear and we were very pleased with our creations. The setting was lovely and it was fantastic to just step away from the normal every day stuff and spend some time together learning some new skills and just being present. You didn’t need to have prior experience and Beth gave really clear instructions and gave you the confidence to just have a go. Everything was very relaxed.Would whole heartedly recommend a day course and I’m hoping to do a longer course as well
  • 5/5 from Peter, attended Mar 2026: A fun experience. Really enjoyed learning the basics with handling clay to produce a bowl. Great to have a go with the Potters wheel. Beth is a very good tutor explaining everything in a fun, straightforward way. Jo was very good as well. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere as well.
  • 5/5 from Nicky Curtis, attended Feb 2026: My husband enrolled us on the taster day for my birthday and we had a fantastic time. Beth and Jo walked us through the coiling technique to make a plant pot and then we tried throwing on the wheel to make a smaller pot. It was as interesting as it was satisfying, relaxing and enjoyable. The time really flew by! The class of 14 was just about the right amount of people and there were sufficient tools for everyone to use. Our fellow potters were a lovely bunch of people. Would definitely recommend and we are considering trying one of the other classes on offer.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Feb 2026: Really enjoyed the session. Good pace and atmosphere, great teachers. Hope to be back soon.
  • 5/5 from Sarah, attended Feb 2026: I bought this for my mum for her birthday and we had the best day! Beth and Jo took us step by step by step through slab work techniques to create a plant pit and we all had the opportunity to try throwing clay on the potters wheel. It was a really informative and fun day! So wholesome! I would highly recommend.
  • 4/5 from Vicki Peaple, attended Feb 2026: Had a very enjoyable day which introduced us to 3 fundamental pottery making techniques and allowed us to complete our own piece of work to take home (once it has been fired and glazed). Teaching was clear and supportive and it felt great to do something practical with the hands. I'm not at all artistic but Beth really boosted my confidence to produce a piece of work I'm really happy with. Definitely considering a longer course.

  • 5/5 from Barbara, attended Nov 2025: This was such a fun experience for a birthday gift. Beth is a great teacher, really engaging and encouraging, and the space was really calming. It was our first experience of ceramics and we had such a wonderful time, we'd love to come back. Having a go on the wheel was great fun but being able to make a casserole dish which is fully oven and dishwasher proof was amazing. Can't wait to see what they all look like post firing!

  • 5/5 from Pam McHale, attended Oct 2025: Beth was focussed and knowledgable. The taster was well organised and everyone made a piece of pottery. Help and advice available throughout. • 1/5 from Fiona Dunford, attended Oct 2025: No review as class cancelled at very short notice as booked in in error by the ClassBento system. Not impressed
  • 5/5 from Angela Peirson, attended Sep 2025: The Pottery Experience was a birthday gift and was an experience, but in a wonderful way. It is much harder than you expect it to be but such fun. Beth described herself as bossy, but no way, she was informative and truthful - we were not going to learn everything in one day. Would love to return and take up as a hobby. It was a fabulous day in superb surroundings and company. Angela

  • 5/5 from Marie-Charlotte Chichignoud, attended May 2025: I had the most incredible time at the ceramics studio in Brenley — truly a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the space felt welcoming, creative, and peaceful. But what made the experience truly unforgettable was Beth, our amazing teacher. Beth is not only incredibly talented, but also so warm, encouraging, and patient. She made the process feel approachable, even for a complete beginner like me. Her passion for ceramics is infectious, and she guided us every step of the way with genuine care and expertise. I left the studio feeling inspired and proud of what I created. It was such a joyful, grounding experience — I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be going back again soon! If you’re looking for something creative, relaxing, and fulfilling, book a session at the Brenley Ceramics Studio. You’ll absolutely love it!
