  • 5/5 from Nick, attended Oct 2026: Booked the pottery throwing and hand building session for my partner’s birthday. The class was great fun, the instructor was very friendly and helpful and we had some good interaction with the other people in the group. Highly recommend giving this a go!
  • 4/5 from Jackie Madisons, attended Oct 2026: Brought as a birthday present. We had a great time trying out a new skill.
  • 5/5 from Nina Pavitt, attended Sep 2026: A really great class, teacher, team and studio. We did 1 hour on the wheel and one hour building by hand. It was a fantastic experience and we definitely want to do more!
  • 5/5 from Parveen Masih, attended Sep 2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our two hours of throwing and building. I was a little anxious from the cold welcome at the outset from reception but all the other staff were very friendly and polite and helpful. It was the first time we went and would definately recommend it.
  • 5/5 from Scarlet Smith, attended Sep 2026: The teacher was really helpful and explained everything thoroughly so it made the class easy to follow. We really enjoyed the pottery throwing such a fun skill to learn. Would definitely recommend!
  • 5/5 from Antonella McFadyen, attended Sep 2026: Just a fun afternoon and really helpful instructor and helpers. I really liked using the wheel alongside the instructor and he was incredibly patient going through each step several times and really explaining the techniques. Unfortunately I don’t think my talents lay in pottery but I would definitely do it again!
  • 5/5 from Jayne Bates, attended Aug 2026: Was a gift for my birthday from my daughter. Fred our teacher introduced himself then gave a demo of what we were going to do and how to do it then we were off. Everyone was having great fun and all managed to make 2 excellent pots whilst getting quite messy. We both really enjoyed it and will be back.
  • 5/5 from Rachel Pennifold, attended Aug 2026: Thanks for a super afternoon. All three of us throughly enjoyed our experience.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Molyneux, attended Aug 2026: It is a well-equipped ceramic studio with a knowledgeable team. The taster session introduced me to throwing, and it was a great experience; the hand-building session, which covered three basic techniques, was good as well. I will definitely come back for a full-length course in throwing. The feel of the clay and manipulation was so satisfying.
  • 5/5 from Gemma Chandler, attended Aug 2026: Great fun and met some lovely people. We will be back to paint our pots on the 19th!
  • 5/5 from Beverley Briscoe, attended Aug 2026: Absolutely amazing experience thank you! We enjoyed ourselves so much and could have easily stayed for longer.
  • 5/5 from Elaine Wild, attended Aug 2026: We did the two hour potters wheel and hand build taster course. We really enjoyed the session and there was a good atmosphere among the participants. Everything was as explained to us very well, but I am more of a visual learner and would have preferred the chance to form the pots on the wheel at the same time as the tutor, rather than watching and then trying to remember what we had seen. This would also have given us more time on the wheel. But the tutors were on hand to help, and were very knowledgeable!
  • 3/5 from Efi Diamond, attended Aug 2026: The teacher was nice, my husband and I enjoyed the experience, it was fun. However, we were not aware that there is an extra charge for each item that we made and like to keep, also a further charge to paint it. So overall this class is too expensive for what it is.
  • 2/5 from Belinda Dickinson, attended Aug 2026: We felt rushed and under pressure by the tutor to complete the first element of pottery throwing, as there was not enough time allocated due to the timescales for the hand building activity, whereas more time would have been preferred to practice and complete the tasks at the wheel. The tutor went through the whole process at the start, which was too much information to retain when applying this theory to practice and didn't offer a chance to ask questions. For most of the group, this was the first experience of pottery throwing, so far too much information to take in. The tutor should break the process down into easy-to-follow steps for the delegates, practising along with the tutor to familiarise themselves with the process and then continue with independence.
  • 5/5 from June Goodall, attended Jul 2026: Jess is a great teacher. She kept an eye on all of us and intervened when anyone got into difficulties. I have a great time and produced two pots and various Christmas decorations. Highly recommended
  • 5/5 from Amirah Zaman, attended Jul 2026: It was our first time trying pottery making, we opted for the pottery wheel and hand building session. Fred was absolutely amazing, it was a really fun class and we will 100% be returning.
  • 5/5 from Loredana Pozzuto, attended Jul 2026: Teacher and the session were great, we felt really relaxed and the teacher was really patient with us. I would really recommend!
  • 5/5 from Steve Taylor, attended Jul 2026: Lots of fun; patient and helpful instruction, thank you. The time just went. One idea might be to give the option of throwing a third pot or handcrafting.
  • 5/5 from Linda Robinson, attended Jul 2026: The three of us had a great time, thanks to Jess. She was very patient with me when I couldn't get it right! She explained everything really well, more than once!! We all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that Jess created. We await our fired pots with mixed feelings...will they be in one piece? Will they look good? It's all down to luck in my case!! Thank you Jess
  • 4/5 from Abida Khokher, attended Jul 2026: The teachers were friendly and helpful. We found the pace of the demonstration on the wheel too fast. We all wondered if a step by step approach may have been better, as us friends were all complete beginners. It was a little bit odd when one of the teachers decided to do a blindfolded throw for herself, rather than focus on the paying group participants who were clearly needing help. It was a shame that there wasn't much time for the hand-build. I was also disappointed that I received no reply to an email that I had sent to the tutor prior to the booking asking some questions about the session (what to bring etc). We all had a great time overall.
  • 5/5 from Sofiia Potapenko, attended Jun 2026: I absolutely enjoyed the pottery class! It felt like therapy. As a complete beginner, I appreciated how the teacher explained everything so clearly and was always there to help or fix any mistakes. I also loved that the session included both hand-building and wheel-throwing. Thank you so much!

  • 5/5 from Diana Bradbury, attended May 2026: Bought this as a gift for my daughter. Mum (that's me) and her Dad went along for the experience also. Grace, the teacher was so lovely and very knowledgeable. She went through all the techniques of throwing on a wheel to which we all successfully managed to make two pots. We then went on to hand building, again Grace gave us all the info we needed to do this and we all made something of our own choice. I booked on-line for this taster and it was easy to do. In three weeks time we shall all go back and enjoy glazing our items. A perfect gift, especially if you want do an experience with family. It was great fun.

  • 5/5 from Christine Bufton, attended Apr 2026: Really enjoyed the session. The demo for the wheel was excellent and we all got lots of help. The hand building demo was good but we didn’t have enough time left to make anything properly and I felt very rushed trying to finish my little bowl.
