Our Story

Pottery & Presence was born from a deeply personal moment of pause, inspired by the power of being truly present, hence the name.

After discovering pottery painting, the founder was drawn to its calming, immersive nature, a rare opportunity to slow down and switch off from the demands of everyday life. With over two decades of leadership and management experience in high pressure environments, she understands the importance of creating space to reset and protect wellbeing.

Following a period of recovery after an operation, pottery became more than a creative outlet. It became a powerful tool for healing, restoring a sense of calm, clarity, and balance.

Inspired by this experience, Pottery & Presence was created to bring that same feeling to others, offering thoughtfully curated experiences across Leicester and beyond that encourage creativity, connection, and wellbeing.

Because sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause.
