Photograph Process and Printing Workshop

Join us for a full day introduction to the magic and joys of processing and printing from your own negative(s). In this workshop, you will learn the essential skills needed to process your black and white film by hand and create beautiful prints. Whether you're a solo learner or want to bring along a friend, loved one, or colleague, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the art of film processing and printing together.

This workshop requires you to have already shot at least 1 roll of black and white film that you would like to process by hand and make print(s) from.

You will:

• Mix your own black and white chemistry.
• Use a darkbag to load a daylight processing tank.
• Process your own roll(s) of film by hand.
• Dry, view and cut your negatives.
• Use an enlarger to create test strips.
• Make a contact sheet from your roll.
• Use an enlarger to create print(s) by hand from your chosen negative(s).

• Due to the historical nature of the building, there is no lift access. Access to the studio is via a short flight of stairs to the front door and up 2x internal flights of stairs. The darkroom is via a flight of external open iron steps down to the bank vault in the basement.
• The person making the booking must be over 18. Any under 18's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/educational provider aged over 18 at all times or will be turned away and no refund can be offered.

• All equipment, chemistry, and photographic paper.
• Your prints to take home.
