During our workshop, you'll create a stunning cushion using the classic Jacob's Ladder pattern, which has its own fascinating history:

• First documented in Marie Webster's 1915 book "Quilts: Their Story and How to Make Them"
• Named for the biblical story of Jacob's dream of a ladder reaching to heaven
• Also known historically as the "Underground Railroad" pattern, connecting it to America's quest for freedom

• Introduction to the Jacob's Ladder pattern, Tools and Rulers

2. *Patchwork Fundamentals

• 2 x Fat Quarters of your choice
• Half a metre of non-stretch cotton fabric for backing
• Half a metre of wadding/batting
