Paint and Sip Class - Woburn Sands

The leaves have gone, the nights are long and the thermometer says low. Come to the warmth of the Ottoman Kitchen in Woburn Sands near Milton Keynes on Tuesday 5th December and paint something personal to you that could be your own Christmas card – “Your Own Front Door” – a stylised picture of the front of your house on a snowy Christmas morning. We start at 6.30.

The pictures give ideas on how you can display your door, and shows what our artists did at an earlier event.

All you have to do is photograph your own front door, and blow it up to A4 size. You can then use it as the centre piece of a lovely snowy Christmas scene that you could turn into your own personal Christmas card. Add a Christmas tree out front with lights, maybe a snowman, a red letter box and even a robin or 2.

Tickets are £32.00 downwards, and at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, and you will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want.

It doesn’t matter in the least if you haven’t picked up a paint brush for years, because you will walk away with your own unique piece of artwork. Our resident artist will take you, step-by-step, through the process of turning your blank canvas into your own personal masterpiece. With a glass in one hand, and a paintbrush (or a cotton bud) in the other, your skills will transfer painlessly to the canvas on your easel. So power up your inner Picasso and come and join us.

We provide everything that you need…… a 40cm x 50cm canvas, easel, brushes, paints, aprons, music and a great atmosphere where you can create to your heart’s content.

Tickets are from £31.00 and a quantity discount applies. The ticket price does NOT include refreshments, but drinks and food can be bought at the bar and at the lower take-out prices, and of course the Ottoman Kitchen has a great menu. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, and at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. You will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want. Be warned, the setup of the venue does NOT lend itself to a full scale meal whilst painting, but finger food is easily accomodated.

As well as being a social event, it is also a creative learning event and it will show you techniques that will help you help your younger relatives come top of the class in art. You will trace in your front door, line in the extras such as snowmen, trees fences and post box (if you want these) and start painting.

We’re only going to guide you, we’re not going to instruct you. If you want to do it your own way, then feel free – You can interpret our guidance in any way you like. It is great when people do their own thing, we love it when we learn a new way to do something.

The event starts at 6.30 pm but it helps if you arrive around 15 minutes early to grab a seat, grab a drink and grab an easel. We start at 6.30 pm, and will definitely by finished by 21.30 pm.

Although we provide aprons, it might be worth wearing old clothes (just in case).

Car Parking
There is some road parking outside the Ottoman Kitchen, and there is a car park behind the restaurant off Russell Street

A Paint Night Party is a social event first, and an art lesson second. It’s Fun Art set to music, not Fine Art done dull.

Absolutely no experience, knowledge, or skills are required at all. More than half of my attendees are first-timers. Definitely beginner friendly.
  All materials and equipment are provided. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own completed and finished 40cm x 50cm masterpiece to take home and hang on their wall.

We now have our Amazing Artist scheme. We give you a card and we stamp it for every event you come to, including our day events. When you have 8 stamps we give you your next Paint Night free. It is our way of saying Thank You.

Optional frames are available for £15.00. Themselves and a smile, hopefully a friend (or two, or three).
Old clothes. Even though we provide aprons, it would be wise to wear old clothes.
