  • 5/5 from Diane Bishop, attended Jan 2025: Such a great experience! 2 x first timers, neither very “arty”, teacher and assistant immediately put us at ease. All materials required supplied. The teacher demonstrated how to paint in stages, explaining as we went along and recapturing if some of us were a bit slower than others. So pleased with the outcome. The venue was good, clean and welcoming and able to purchase food and drinks if required. Parking and accessibility all fine. I will definitely be attending again in the future. Was so out of my comfort zone booking this event as such a challenge but so pleased that I did. Thank you. I will be recommending.
  • 5/5 from Aleksandra Zaliubovskaja, attended Jan 2025: It was one of the best brush events I have attended! The teacher and the team did an excellent job by providing step by step guidance and giving enough time for perfection and extra support! Nice atmosphere with subtle music in the background. I will come back!

  • 5/5 from Mandeep Kaler, attended Jan 2025: We had the best time so many nervous painters but teachers teachers step by step, so much fun!!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Smith, attended Dec 2024: I went with my daughter and friend as a fun pre Christmas activity. The teacher was excellent, good humoured and very patient. The party was in the Malt Shovel and my daughter and I enjoyed a delicious meal there before hand. It was a great venue just the right size for the group. I have to say I still cannot believe that I managed to paint Angus the Highland Cow. It was great fun, great to come home with something. We are looking for to going on more Brush Parties. Thanks.
  • 5/5 from Denise Lackenby, attended Dec 2024: Such a lovely evening, light hearted and encouraging for all levels of artistic ability. Came away with a fabulous piece of artwork that I’m proud to show off. Got lots of ‘oohs’ & ‘aahs’ from a group of ladies who saw my artwork as I was leaving (who were not in class but in the same venue). “Are you an artist?” Says it all!
  • 5/5 from Nicky Joyce, attended Dec 2024: Absolutely brilliant! Lovely ladies and everything was so easily explained and not rushed or too fast. Helped explain the mixing of colours and how to achieve amazing results! We will definitely be booking again!
  • 5/5 from Laura Crick, attended Dec 2024: Brilliant evening with my Dad who loves to paint and draw. Highly recommend and great to do something different.
  • 4/5 from Megan Stevens, attended Nov 2024: Sip and Paint at the Malt Shovel was amazing! Dived into the world of painting! I was focused, centred and drawn into my painting, I forgot all about my troubles.. I was so relaxed and enjoying myself, painting away and drinking my glass of red wine. The teacher was really good, she took time and explained how to do certain painting techniques (some which I hadn't heard of). I throughly enjoyed paint and sip, I'd happily do it again. Everyone was so nice, we all stood around and spoke about our art works and then posed for a photo. My only criticism would be, that I had to pay for my drink. Sip implies that the drink is free, even just tea or coffee included would have been the SIP.
  • 5/5 from Brenda Wright, attended Sep 2024: Sunflower Avenue, first time I had attended anything like this, not a painter but enjoyed very much. Teacher set a good pace, constantly checking everyone was ok and offered good advice, demonstrated well and gave feedback. Everything provided for a fun evening. Thankyou
  • 5/5 from Bryonny Little, attended Sep 2024: Great teaching and very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend highly. Class is very good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Ann Warren, attended Sep 2024: A group of ladies from Brunel decided to try something different and we went along to Sip and Paint. I have never painted anything except a wall so didn’t think I would be any good. What a wonderful relaxing evening! I so enjoyed it and you were guided throughout the session and, in the end, I had a lovely painting to take home which I was really surprised I could do so well. We also had a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend you can go in a group or even on your own a lovely way to meet new friends
  • 5/5 from Andrea Marquez, attended Sep 2024: I loved this class. Will definitely come back again. A class to sip, paint and enjoy ️.
  • 4/5 from Liz Vajir, attended Sep 2024: This was our first brush party and we were painting sunflowers. It was generally enjoyable and we were pleased with what we painted. I learned some new techniques along the way. I really like the concept and would try another brush party elsewhere. My criticism tonight was that the room was far too small for our group and so I was constantly trying to balance paint, brushes and water around my easel without knocking things over. The other criticism is that the tutor seemed to know how to paint the painting but was not particularly enthusiastic either about the painting or the event. It was a much more serious affair than I had expected. That having been said I would recommend it to other newcomers.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Ward, attended Aug 2024: A great evening with a couple of friends at a lovely venue in a picturesque setting on the canal. The teacher was great, friendly and accommodating, giving clear instructions on what to do and allowing the right amount of time to complete the different elements. We were all amazed and pleased with our final painting and will definitely be back to do more.
