3 hours Class size 4 to 30     label £29

We are in the midst of winter. Come to the warmth of the Ottoman Kitchen in Woburn Sands, near Milton Keynes, on Tuesday 9th January and enjoy painting these cute "Snowy Ostriches". We start at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £32.00 and downwards, and at the end of the evening, you will take away your own personal masterpiece. The ticket price includes all materials and equipment, and you will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want.

It doesn’t matter in the least if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush for years because you will walk away with your own unique piece of artwork. Our resident artist will take you, step-by-step, through the process of turning your blank canvas into your own personal masterpiece. With a glass in one hand and a paintbrush (or a cotton bud) in the other, your skills will transfer painlessly to the canvas on your easel. So power up your inner Picasso and come and join us.

We provide everything that you need – a 40cm x 50cm canvas, easel, brushes, paints, aprons, music, and a great atmosphere where you can create to your heart’s content.

Tickets for Snowy Ostriches:

  • Tickets are from £31.00 and a quantity discount applies.
  • The ticket price does not include refreshments, but drinks and food can be bought at the bar and at lower take-out prices. The Ottoman Kitchen has a great menu.
  • The ticket price includes all materials and equipment, and at the end of the evening, you will take away your own personal masterpiece. You will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want. Be warned, the setup of the venue does not lend itself to a full-scale meal while painting, but finger food is easily accommodated.

As well as being a social event, it is also a creative learning event, and it will show you techniques that will help you help your younger relatives come top of the class in art. You will trace your front door, line in the extras such as snowmen, trees, fences, and a postbox (if you want these) and start painting.

We’re only going to guide you; we’re not going to instruct you. If you want to do it your own way, then feel free – you can interpret our guidance in any way you like. It is great when people do their own thing; we love it when we learn a new way to do something.

The event starts at 6.30pm, but it helps if you arrive around 15 minutes early to grab a seat, grab a drink, and grab an easel. We start at 6.30pm and will definitely be finished by 9.30pm.

Although we provide aprons, it might be worth wearing old clothes (just in case).

Special Note:
Tickets for Snowy Ostriches start at £32.00, and a quantity discount applies.

Car Parking:
There is some road parking outside the Ottoman Kitchen, and there is a car park behind the restaurant off Russell Street.

A Paint Night Party is a social event first and an art lesson second. It’s Fun Art set to music, not Fine Art done dull.

If you have any questions, please contact Russell Collins.

Knowledge required
Absolutely no experience, knowledge, or skills are required at all. More than half of my attendees are first-timers. Definitely beginner-friendly.

We now have our Amazing Artist scheme. We give you a card and we stamp it for every event you come to, including our day events. When you have 8 stamps, we give you your next Paint Night free. It is our way of saying thank you.

Hi, I'm Russell and I want to show you that you can do things that you never thought you could do. When people leave one of my events for the first time, they usually cannot believe what they have just painted. My motto is "Power Up Your Inner Picasso"

I started off in construction as a Civil Engineer wirth a side- hustle as an Officer in the Territorial Army (now Army Reserves) Royal Engineers - I started in Commando Squadron, moved to Field Regiment and finished off in Bomb Disposal.

I hated art at school, but one day saw a guy turn a 50cm x 100cm black canvas into an Arctic nightscape in 30 minutes. It turns out he was (still is) a Bob Ross instructor. I followed and am now one myself.

I heard about Paint and Sip events and decided to start them myself. So here I am.
