Took 1 star off as I felt the venue/set-up felt a bit cramped with 12 people on a single table with all the paint kit and obstructed view of the teacher/painting!

The teacher was OUTSTANDING....she checked on everyone and helped with errors and praised!. This was the best class I have attended...shame about the venue. It was rowdy and intrusive. But the teachers mic overcame this.

• 4/5 from Tina Reibl, attended Feb 2026: I liked the teacher and the picture but I didn't like the venue. The pub was noisy and the food is smells awful and there was not much space on the table. I would never spend time in a place like that and felt a bit uncomfortable.

The two ladies running it were very friendly & helpful. The venue was very cramped & too noisy for listening to instructions. They did kindly turn the music down.

Also there were 2 10 min breaks which could have been just one. I find at these brush parties that finishing at 10pm is a little late. I would prefer them to finish at 9.30pm.

The materials and resources were great and the instructor was very welcoming and created a fantastic environment. Many of us were complete novices and he offered guidance on how we can enhance our paintings and also allowed us to be creative to put our own spin on things. The step by step instructions were very helpful and it was great to learn about blending colours. I would highly recommend this activity to everyone!

We were very well served with e tra paint, plates & tissues I felt a bit trapped as I couldn't physically get our of my seat unless the other 4 girls let me out I kept knocking shoulders with the girl behind me The bench was VERY uncomfortable to sit on for an hour, never mind 3 (with a 10 min interval) I am very pleased with my coo & would do another paint party just NOT at the Tap venue

Artist could have been more engaging on arrival, he got into it more in the middle. There was no introductions or anything.

The teacher supported really well with advice. I very enjoyed the session although i was there on my own without any friends, everyone was friendly.

It was fun and very therapeutic. The instructor was very good and her helper kept our supplies topped up. We will definitely attend future brush parties.

The supplies were great and there was an extra person to give us more paint when needed. The venue was brilliant. We went to the pub called Off The Tap in Maidenhead. We listened to a festive music as it was Christmas. The teacher had a microphone connected to her head so we could all hear we instruction well I’m impressed with what I have produced. I can highly recommend!

Please can I suggest we paint Funky Moo at some point? A few of us have been waiting months and it keeps doing the rounds but never reaching Maidenhead!
