One-to-one Crochet Workshop

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a one-to-one and ask any questions you have about Crochet

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 4/5 from Emma Owens, attended Nov 2025: Jack was a very knowledgeable crochet guide and very friendly and patient. I was able to learn a few tips to help with my future projects. I think this would work best if you want help with something very specific, I think I had a lot of broad ideas that I wanted to ask about!

  • 5/5 from Michelle Groves, attended Sep 2024: We had a fantastic Crochet lesson. Jack was really patient and showed us how to get started. I didn’t get it as quick as my son’s girlfriend (who’s already making a blanket) but I’m going to continue to try and if I struggle, I’ll book another workshop. We would both definately recommend the Crochet workshop, Jack is a great teacher - thank you :)
  • 5/5 from Rebecca, attended May 2024: Jack was brilliant; he was very patient and knowledgeable. He helped me figure out the mistakes that I'd made, and gave me tips on how to crochet more efficiently. Made more progress today with him than I did on my own for the past 2 weeks!

  • 5/5 from Laura Richards, attended Jan 2024: Our teacher, Jack, was really friendly and easy to understand. He was patient and good at showing two people different parts when one went ahead. It was good to see an example of what Jack had made before (a really impressive large Octopus emtirely out of crocheting!) So more examples of whats posssible migght be worth having. We both enjoyed it and feel confident to carry on crocheting at home. We like the wool we got to take away with us. Thanks. Would definitely book more at same venue with same teacher. Nice way to get an introduction to a new craft.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Dec 2023: Jack was really helpful in showing me how to crochet my squares together. He was very patient with me. I will definitely book another 1:1 session to learn how to crochet properly, as I struggle to learn in groups.

  • 5/5 from Emma, attended Sep 2023: Lovely venue, nice and cool on a very hot day and the materials provided were perfect for the workshop. The Teacher was excellent and spent time teaching me the crochet stitches I needed for my pattern. I struggled to start with but the teacher kept explaining the stitches and method until it finally clicked. Highly recommend the workshops at Hobbycraft, I’ve done a few now and they are always excellent.
