Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 4/5 from Susan Robertson, attended Aug 2024: Susan was friendly and knowledgeable. I learnt how to do a few stitches and how to work the rows. The time went really quickly. The area was quite and no one interrupted.
  • 4/5 from Annie Wares, attended Aug 2024: The class was good and it was great way to learn crochet however I did feel the class was rushed and the hour was not enough. It was not a relaxed session as I hoped. Class should have been 2 hours. Only so much a person can take it and if it was only my 11 year old daughter attending she would have lost interest so luckily I was there. Even myself found so parts challenging. Things I did take away with me was terminology, what videos/books/materials to use and how to start it.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jun 2024: Great class, learned as few new things today. Extra help with at end of the class with which wool and hooks to use.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Johnston, attended Nov 2023: Susan was very knowledgeable about crochet and gave me all sorts of hints & tips to try as I continue to learn. An hour was good value for money, I got the chance to ask questions & practice the stitches etc that I wasn't confident about
  • 5/5 from Joyce Murray, attended Oct 2023: Susan was very helpful, managed to help me with my issue, very knowledgeable and gave me helpful hints and tips. Class was on the shop floor where we were disturbed by customers asking questions. Good experience and value for money.
