One-to-one Crochet Workshop

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a one-to-one and ask any questions you have about Crochet

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Jill Fallon, attended Feb 2025: I booked this class as a follow on from a group session I had a couple of weeks ago. I had bought a crochet pattern for a shawl and I couldn't get the pattern to work out and, being new to crochet, I did not know where I was going wrong. Natalie was lovely. She had asked me for a copy of the pattern beforehand so she could familiarise herself with it and was very patient with me whilst I worked my way through it. Due to her experience with crochet, she knew where I had gone wrong with the pattern and was able to correct me. The hour flew by! For anyone struggling with a particular pattern or stitch, I would highly recommend a 1-1 session to put you on the right track.

  • 5/5 from Sophie Harrison, attended Nov 2024: My 10year old daughter had a 1-2-1 beginner crochet lesson with Nat. Nat was brilliant with my daughter, she was able to teach her skills she will now go away and build on. My daughter came away happy with what she had learnt. My daughter is very quiet and lacks confidence especially in new environments. Nat was very patient and understanding and I felt a perfect teacher for her. I would definitely recommend this class to anybody as Nat was experienced and very good at helping my daughter understand what she was doing. We will be back after some practice to learn more from Nat.

I brought some materials but others were available. We covered all the points/techniques I wished to do on the day and received some very good advice going forward.
