Join a Hobbycraft Artisan online One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Nicola O'Donnell, attended Jul 2026: Chrissie was a great teacher! Especially important that she was (coincidentally) left handed and therefore understood how to help me.
  • 5/5 from Fiona Marshall, attended May 2026: Chrissie is an excellent tutor, very patient and knowledgeable. This is my second bento with Chrissie, she is lovely! Would highly recommend and I would book a one on one again as it is really worth it to get more knowledgeable and just handy bits of information to make crocheting easier. Thanks Chrissie!!

  • 5/5 from Julia Kirk, attended May 2024: I'm sure it was great but I was unable to attend because I have very bad cold along with a cough. I would probably miss alot because of my coughing I will book again!
  • 5/5 from Danielle, attended Apr 2024: Kathryn was fantastic! She really understood what help I needed and she was able to clearly show me how to overcome what I was stuck on. She was very friendly and easy to talk to, and made me feel very comfortable. I definitely have a better understanding of the crochet stitches that I was stuck on and have since been able to put what I had learnt into practice in a project that I am working on. I will certainly book further on-to-one classes in future when I need help. I very highly recommend these classes.
  • 5/5 from Philippa, attended Feb 2024: Hannah and Catherine were really helpful and patient, helping me to understand the pattern instructions, pick up stitches, and create the least holey underarm I think I've ever knitted! I've got what looks like a slightly looser stitch where previously I would have had a gaping hole, so a short workshop has made my underarms a million times better, thank you!
