One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Gemma Johnson, attended May 2026: Paula was the greatest person to show and talk me through all the different things I can make. Paula was fantastic, highly, highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Becky Farrow, attended Mar 2026: An excellent introduction to Cricut. Paula in the Luton branch was clear, helpful and informative throughout the session, answering our questions fully and with great enthusiasm. Would highly recommend and will certainly be purchasing the equipment from Hobbycraft on the back of this workshop. Thanks to Paula for her time.
  • 5/5 from Edith Bernard, attended Jun 2025: Paula she was very helpful, she answered all my questions, she showed me the product to use because I was clueless about Vinyl products. I am very happy and it’s to put in action. Thank you Paula
  • 3/5 from Julie Keegan, attended Apr 2025: Session was ok. Paula was really helpful and patient. However, I was expecting to have a go at what I was shown, rather than just watch. I took notes, but it’s not the same, as we rush to get all the answers down and then not all the answers make sense when we get home. If we can’t use the machine, then having a go on a laptop or a tablet would help much more. Had we used a machine or tablet it would have been 5 stars. I could have just looked on you tube to watch someone for free, so maybe think about getting something customers can have a go at whilst the teacher demonstrates and supervises.
  • 4/5 from Surya Roy, attended Sep 2024: It was a good experience to start with a new machine with very mellow and sturdy class. Start with very basics to half way which is quite good.
  • 4/5 from Zaleka Hussain, attended Dec 2023: The teacher was very kind and helpful. Definitely gave me some good tips and tricks i could use when using my machine
  • 5/5 from Anabella Cancela, attended Jun 2023: Well worth the workshop. As a beginner, Paula (@Luton store) was fantastic and she knew what she was teaching about. I loved every minute of it and although it's a "learn on the job" type of activity, learning the basics makes me want to do more. The hour spent with Paula exchanging ideas and getting my questions answered was so worth it. Thank you @Honbycraft for providing the space, personnel and materials to learn!
  • 5/5 from Barbara Loy, attended Jun 2023: today have take a cricut class in hobby craft, I was so enjoy the class, Paola she gave me a great teaching, she have good skill, thank you!
  • 5/5 from Yasmin Muquith, attended Jun 2023: The 1:1 session was great, definitely worth my money as felt clear and and confident by the end. My initial goal was to find out which cricut machine would be the best for what I wanted and I walked away knowing the differences in all and even how to use the software, print and transfer, Verity was brilliant, did not feel rushed, answered all the queries I had, even if they were basic silly questions, gave some personal views on do's and dont's. She was calm throughout and found her extremely helpful. Thank you Verity
  • 5/5 from Lynette Wong, attended May 2023: I went to Hobbycraft Luton for a Cricut workshop as I wasn't sure which machine is best suited for myself. Verity was amazing and gave me great advise. She had an answer for all my questions and made the machine selection very easy. She then demonstrated what certain tools and materials was used for. There was no hard selling which was great as that would certainly have put me off. She tailored the session for my need and offered lots of help.
  • 5/5 from Mariyah Zia, attended Apr 2023: Very good teacher. She explained everything so clearly and answered all my questions with clarity.
  • 4/5 from Alicia Powell, attended Oct 2022: It was good to see all of what cricut is all about. The only thing that will need to improvement is that their WiFi connection. When showing us to get a cut and to print on vinyl the WiFi was not working, we waited for a long while but with no luck. This took up valuable time when we could be talking and sorting out other things.
  • 5/5 from Marcia Mitchell-West, attended Jul 2022: OMG! The best experience ever! I wasn't too sure on what I specifically needed help on but I knew I needed help! :-) I was lucky that the workshop was run by an absolutely adorable young man and his mum came along and assisted (both work in the Luton branch, sorry I have forgotten their names!) The tutoring was at the perfect pace for me and I was able to get all my 'stupid' questions answered without being made to feel stupid. We made a bag using the iron-on (that was supplied) and it was all explained easily. I was made to feel so comfortable, I will definitely book to do some more. Definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who's questions were not dealt with through various YouTube videos (and I've watched 100's), one-to-one sessions is the way to go, brings on your confidence 100%! (Thanks Hobbycraft Luton! I'll be back
  • 4/5 from Marta Brito, attended Jul 2022: Very approachable teacher, happy to answer all my questions. Sowed me different projects and I learn a lot of new things. I had the chance to clarify different doubts, not only related with the main project. The workshop was in the middle of the store, but was ok because was not too busy.

  • 5/5 from Nabia Khan, attended Apr 2022: Amazing 1-1 cricut session, Learnt loads in my session today all questions were answered and Lee really knows his stuff. Thank you Lee & the rest of the team at the Luton branch, lovely bunch Will definitely recommend :)
  • 5/5 from Susan Newbound, attended Feb 2022: The young man was friendly and very helpful. The one-to-one lesson was informative without being too complicated. The table where the lesson took place was in the middle of the store but because of the layout I didn’t feel as if people in the store were watching me. The card making didn’t go quite to plan but that made it more fun. I felt that I got value for money.
  • 5/5 from Paula Roberts, attended Jan 2022: Lee was really helpful, knowledgeable. It's given me the confidence and knowledge i was looking for to come home and start to create more things with the Cricut machine. I was finding YouTube and other groups a little bit overwhelming and this one to one course really helped. I would definitely recommend and I'll be looking at attending other courses too in the near future.
  • 5/5 from Terri Marshall, attended Jan 2022: LEE what can I say! If your looking for someone who is kind, understanding and very very patient then book with him, from the first moment if puts you at ease and makes the class about you and your needs. He is honest and will tell you if the project you have in mind is something for the future after gaining experience on the machine. He is happy to repeat something again if you {in my case} need to go over it again. You will come away with something that you have made, it may only be a card but its your work I made a Rugby picture for my Grandson. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT GO AHEAD AND BOOK IT!
  • 5/5 from Terri Marshall, attended Jan 2022: Lee was a wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable and helpful. I am a total tech idiot and Lee was very patient and understanding. The work station was comfortable and clean, all materials were supplied and I left with a card made for my Grandsons birthday, and a booking for another lesson which I truly believe is outstanding value. Thank you Hobbycraft Luton
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Pinkney, attended Oct 2021: Lee was fantastic. I wanted to lead as a complete beginner about the Cricut machines. I was shown each model and explained all the pros and cons of each one. He also showed me how the app worked with the machine and we even had time to create a little bit of craft using the machine. I’ll be back to learn more!
  • 5/5 from Felicia Mulraine, attended Sep 2021: The teachers were patient and kind. The area was very clean. They made me feel welcome and at ease as I was very nervous about the course. Well done!
  • 5/5 from Lara Pykett, attended Sep 2021: Lee was fantastic. Really knowledgeable, shared lots of great tips. Showed me several things I’d asked to learn clearly and whilst demonstrating - extremely helpful! Ample products to play around with & it was certainly time well spent. Much appreciated, thanks Lee!
  • 4/5 from Lisa Watson, attended Sep 2021: Great venue, had all the equipment needed to run through what I wanted. Gave me some great ideas. Really enjoyed it, and got a lovely cup of tea!
  • 3/5 from Yvette Glacken, attended Sep 2021: I enjoyed the one-to-one session but I was standing for the hour which I didn’t expect.
  • 5/5 from Alice Dimmock, attended Aug 2021: Holly was amazing at explaining how I would do certain things like layering etc! Materials were all provided. Members of staff walked past and were all so lovely and welcoming, I was offered a drink and was looked after by the whole team working that day. Thank you so much!
