One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Sally Powell, attended Jul 2026: Sophie was brilliant - took me patiently through all hte steps I needed for the project I am doing and then showed my other very useful hints and tips. She's fantastic - first class instructor. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Nichola Harper, attended May 2026: My 11-year-old daughter and I recently attended a one-to-one Cricut workshop with Sophie, and it was excellent. Sophie really knows the Cricut inside out. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions, showing us lots of features and functions that we hadn’t discovered before. We learned so much about both paper and vinyl projects and picked up plenty of useful tips along the way. We left feeling much more confident using our Cricut machine and excited to put what we’d learned into practice. I’d highly recommend Sophie to anyone wanting to get more out of their Cricut.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2026: Excellent workshop, thoroughly recommend for anyone who has purchased a Cricut machine. Learning the basics from Sophie will help me make a start on my crafting ideas for my business.
  • 1/5 from Nicola Petry, attended Jan 2026: It was not worth a penny. All I did was stand and watch an expert show me what she and the machine could do. There was no interaction from me. She used her iPad and her machine. It would have been better to show me how to link my iPad to her machine. I came away inspired by what the cricut can do but no the wiser how to do it myself. A total waste of time and money.
  • 5/5 from Kate Jervis, attended Jul 2025: Fantastic teacher and session full of loads of useful methods, hints and tips for getting the most out of my new cricut machine. Can wait to get making more stuff and if I have anything I want extra help with I'll definitely be back for some more expret help.

She was very helpful in getting a work around which satisfied my initial cutting of acetate material which was thicker than normal. So thanks again Sophie, and make sure you create some transfers for your son Best wishes John

  • 5/5 from Karen Barlow, attended Mar 2023: Sophie our tutor was extremely helpful. She explained clearly all the technical side of using the cricut maker 3. Also Sophie did various demonstrations on a variety of materials. Sophie is obviously a very talented lady and after showing and explaining the many things the cricut machine can do it inspired us so much that we purchased a cricut maker 3. The only negative was, other shoppers passing by us and disrupting concentration due the fact there was not much room around the demonstration desk. 5***** for Sophie's knowledge on the cricut machine and patience with us newbies. She certainly gave us the confidence to be able to use the machine. so Many Thanks Sophie we appreciate you giving us a great demonstration.

  • 5/5 from Ceri Smith, attended Jan 2022: Sophie was extremely helpful! She answered all my questions and more. She was able to demonstrate how to overcome some of the issues I’ve been having with the Cricut Joy. Thank you!
  • 3/5 from Samantha Woodus, attended Dec 2021: It was OK, kept getting interrupted as customers were unaware that we were in a paid session. The lady did all she could to help me understand the machine ect but she also said she was new to card and was more into vinyl. We did a cut out if card and some vinyl but honestly i should have stuck to watching videos in YouTube.
  • 3/5 from Gemma Banner, attended Oct 2021: Unfortunately my original day and time for the course had to be rearranged and although they did give me other options I had to make further childcare and work arrangements which was a bit of a pain Whilst the course would have been good I felt the IT trouble Gemma had meant she couldn’t deliver the course to its full potential Whilst she did everything she could the initial computer problems meant we lost precious time and the outcome was not as she intended or I had anticipated although not through lack of enthusiasm or knowledge from Gemma who delivered it.
  • 5/5 from Faye Evans, attended Sep 2021: The workshop was more than worth it for me as a new cricut user, it's a mind field. Sophie was great very helpful and a wealth of knowledge as a cricut user herself. I had all my questions and issues answered by her which has now given me more confidence to use my own machine. Wish it was longer! I have found the staff very useful and knowledgeable at Droitwich and go to this store specifically even though it is not my most local store as most of the staff are cricut users and have machines themselves they are so helpful and know lots of great tips, thank you!
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Cartwright, attended Sep 2021: Fantastic session with Sophie. She was brilliant! She was very knowledgeable and shared loads of top tips. Went through loads of methods and techniques and answered my millions of questions! I learnt so much and can’t wait to try it out.
  • 5/5 from Kate Dunkley, attended Sep 2021: Sophie was a great tutor. I’m not techy but she managed to explain the Cricut really well.
  • 3/5 from Ian Phillips, attended Sep 2021: The session was less than I hoped as the foil printing I had wanted to have demonstrated is not available from an ipad app, plus the I pads on the display had failed after a power cut and not been repaired, we needed a pc to demo the foil printing and not available so could not demonstrate, the shop is also very hot. Gemma who took the session was very helpful knowledge and friendly and made great efforts to do what she could with the equipment available, but I do not think I should have paid for something you were unable to provide. I would have preferred to be told in advance the demo was not possible and saved my journey and time until it was possible. I would appreciate your Comments on this.
  • 5/5 from Lynda Dodd, attended Aug 2021: Really enjoyed the experience, Fiona was a very good instructor and knowledgeable about the Cricut range. Will be looking to buy in the future
  • 5/5 from Jillian Oakley, attended Aug 2021: Sophie was brilliant. Clear explanations and demonstrations and lots of personal examples of how she uses her machine. I bought the Air 2 and loved the fact that all the staff seemed to know I'd been in for a demo. Now to decorate my classroom!
