Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Emily Dixon, attended Jul 2026: A great 1:1 with my friend added for only £5 so great value. Really good teacher. We both found out so much about the cricut and what it can do it was good and we'd definitely come back again.
  • 5/5 from Pollyanna Jenner, attended Jul 2026: very informative teacher. answered all of our questions and made a lovely paper flower for us
  • 5/5 from Gail Norman, attended Oct 2025: The Cricut 1-1 was excellent. Sue was very knowledgeable and personable. I really enjoyed the class and learnt a lot. Thank you
  • 2/5 from Angie Joyce, attended Oct 2025: This was cancelled yesterday
  • 5/5 from Helen Hands, attended Sep 2025: Sue was very professional and friendly.Learnt alot about cricut and was able to answer all questions The only problem was workshop was held in store and other customer kept coming up asking questions, Sue did try her best and kept apologing for it.
  • 5/5 from Deborah Murphy, attended Aug 2025: Sue took me through the workings of the circuit 4 maker and showed me how to create the projects I had in mind. I was deliberately whether to buy one as it all seemed quite complicated but Sue’s skills in teaching me the basic concepts made it quite simple. Sue’s advice was to practise on paper until I got to grips with it and enjoy everything it had to offer. Sue made the workshop an enjoyable experience and nothing was too much trouble, offering ongoing support whenever I wanted to pop in to the store. A lovely personable lady.
  • 5/5 from Anita Hay, attended Jul 2025: Sue is a great teacher and has given me loads of information to get me started with my new cricut machine.
  • 5/5 from Sam Jeffery, attended Mar 2025: Cricut lesson with Sue was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable about Cricut software and showed me lots to do with my Cricut. However, I did notice that she did not have enough space on the workstation to demonstrate the Cricut tools etc due to other machines being there. Also, one hour session is not long enough! To look through the software and actually use it takes one hour alone, you must extend the session times! One criticism: When I arrived at the store they did not know that I was due a lesson despite having been sent an email yesterday to confirm for today. However, Sue came to the rescue and we had a great time, she truly is an asset to you.
  • 5/5 from Katie, attended Jan 2025: This was a Christmas present from my husband, Sue was amazing and so patient, I explained I needed to learn the basics but then to cut and weed glitter vinyl as I wanted to make T-shirts, As a teacher Sue was brilliant and anything I didn't understand she was happy to go over again, venue accessible for me and materials endless. I was super happy by the time I left and have been back since to have another session and I'm sure I will use Sue again attached is the T-Shirt I made.
  • 5/5 from Jodie Bartholomew Oates, attended Jan 2025: Sue was absolutely amazing, very friendly, calm, patient, great with my ASD daughter. Let us ask a million questions, didnt rush us, and made it fun.
  • 5/5 from Lisa Adams, attended Jan 2025: I wanted to be shown how to get started with a variety of options on the cricut maker, and that's exactly what I got. Sue, my tutor, was very informative, with lots of tips and tricks. She showed me many examples, gave clear instructions, and enabled me to see the numerous possibilities the machine can do. She stopped to answer all my questions and can't wait to go back for another 1:1 session! High recommend it!
  • 5/5 from Marcia Bell, attended Dec 2024: I attended a Cricut workshop with Sue who was absolutely brilliant at explaining how to use the Explorer 3. Sue even provided some hints and tips. The information and guidance I got from the workshop was worth every penny.
  • 5/5 from Ann Mitchell, attended Nov 2024: Sue was a fabulous teacher enabling me to explore what the cricut maker 3 is capable off. She explained each function in Space Design and really listened to what I was hoping to achieve on my cricut maker. Sue demonstrated several different techniques and shared what materials could be used. No questions were silly questions. A lovely relaxed learning environment. Highly recommend her. Thank you Sue.
  • 5/5 from Ruby Utchanah, attended Nov 2024: I loved my Cricut 1-to-one workshop with Sue at the Havant branch. I bought the Cricut Maker 3 and had a workshop to learn the machine, Cricut Design Space and we made a project that I wanted to learn! We made name decal vinyls and applied them to balloons which were fab! The whole process was really easy from booking online to having my workshop. I learnt so much in my 1-to-1 and Sue is a great teacher and lovely person I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. Sue actually helped me purchase my Maker 3 beforehand which made me want to book a 1-1 Cricut workshop with her to learn more and get started with my new maker 3, thanks so much Sue. I highly recommend this store and Sue to get your Cricut workshops and start making crafts with your Cricut.

Courtney was very patient and went at my pace and level of understanding Will recommend to friends and book another class next time I get stuck.

  • 5/5 from Amy Grindlay, attended May 2024: Sue was brilliant, she had so many helpful tips and she really listened to my questions and encouraged my ideas. She showed me so many things I can’t wait to get making. The desk could do with being a bit bigger/clearer so there’s space for the projects but the pull out desk is helpful. Very good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Cate House, attended May 2024: I am new to Cricut and wanted a crash course on how to use the Maker 3. Sue who delivered the training was fantastic. She has fired me with enthusiasm to use my Cricut more.
