One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Anita Rangeley, attended Aug 2026: My one to one tutorial for my Cricut machine at Hobbycraft in Hull was excellent. The tutor (sorry, but I can’t remember her name) was lovely and extremely patient. I took along a project I had been struggling with and she talked me through every stage of it. She gave me lots of useful tips on using Design Space which were really helpful. Definitely worth the cost and would recommend to anyone struggling with using their Cricut machine.
  • 4/5 from Karen Keaney, attended Mar 2026: Tasha at Hull Hobbycraft is an excellent teacher. She explained everything clearly and demonstrated each step as we went. As a complete beginner, I learned loads, and some of her 'helpful tips' proved invaluable when I attempted to practice at home. Tasha was knowledgeable and super patient as she took me through each step until I got it, and answered all of my questions. She even helped me to buy the right bits to take home. I would highly recommend her. 5* for Tasha. The review has 4* as all of the demonstrations were on a fixed tablet, so it would not have been anywhere near as good as it was, had I not taken my own laptop in, so people probably ought to be advised to do that. Also, the whole demo was at a high table, and I can not stand upright for that length of time. There were NO STOOLS available, which really shocked me, so I had to sit on a low chair, as a high table.... with a high fixed tablet screen!!!.......not really very 'access' minded.
  • 5/5 from Holly Stittle, attended Feb 2026: The teacher was vwry helpful. Showed me how to use the features I wanted to learn in a way that was easy to understand
  • 5/5 from Stephanie Hird, attended Mar 2025: I had a fantastic time. Tasha was brilliant. She taught me lots of how to do my wedding invitations. She was so good with me. I don't pick things up easily there's days but she didn't mind while I wrote things down. Thanks so much.
  • 5/5 from Gill, attended Mar 2025: Tasha was an excellent teacher, she explained everything clearly and demonstrated each step as quickly or as slowly as I needed. I’m now armed with the skills needed to start tackling my own projects. Would definitely recommend this workshop and teacher.
  • 3/5 from Carole Rogers, attended Jan 2025: I’d like to start by saying that the lady who held this class was lovely and as helpful as she was allowed to be. Unfortunately the questions I came prepared with were unable to be answered properly as she couldn’t access Cricut access and a lot of time was wasted with her trying different designs to be told we couldn’t access yet another one! This seemed to go on for quite some time. Consequently a lot of my questions were left unanswered. I did learn a few things but not £22 worth unfortunately. I do think that if you are going to teach someone how to use the design space you should have full access or it really isn’t worth attending the tutorial.

She took her time to clearly explain everything and answer all of our questions (we had many). It was a very helpful class and I'm sure it will really help us in the future when we use our cricut maker. Thank you Tasha for all of your help today! :)

  • 5/5 from Jane Dukes, attended Aug 2022: Yet again pitch perfect as I am very much a novice. Thank you very much.
  • 1/5 from Emily Neilson, attended Jun 2022: The biggest waste of £15. No desk top computer so no print and cut, no foiling help. When I asked for help the member of staff use the online help on the cricut software. I can do that myself? I have more experience then the staff member. I took the afternoon off work as you don't do weekend workshops I'm fuming. The information I was given I could have just walked into store for free and asked the same questions.
  • 5/5 from Susan Adair, attended Apr 2022: Louise was very informative and answered my questions perfectly for me to go away and be confident with Cricut Joy. Not too nly was it informative it was fun too!
  • 5/5 from Natalee Pearson, attended Mar 2022: Very helpful and knowledgeable teacher. Would of liked to have tried Heat transfer vinyl, but the time just flew by. Excited to start crafting. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Kay Barnes, attended Feb 2022: Louise was lovely and very helpful, and helped me to decide which machine I would need for my projects. I think providing a chair or stool for people to use is a necessary thing, as like myself I’m sure other people find it difficult to stand for an hour. My thanks to Louise for all her help.
  • 5/5 from Susanne Burwell, attended Feb 2022: The teacher was really friendly and helpful. She responded to all my questions about the machine and design space. I was able to practice new things and I was shown sone things I hadn’t thought about as a beginner.
  • 4/5 from Tracey Gadd, attended Feb 2022: The lady who gave the one to one tutorial was lovely. I don’t think that the tutorial itself was good value for money though. I bought my cricut maker, a selection or vinyl and lots of tools and accessories, it cost almost £500, which for me is a lot of money. I chose to buy from hobbycraft instead of other companies selling them at that time because hobbycraft offered a free beginners in store tutorial. At the time however the country was in chaos and most businesses were closed. As a result I had to wait until hobbycraft to reopen before I could have my free tutorial which was fine and understandable. After contacting hobbycraft by email to request my tutorial I was told that free tutorials were no longer available? I was very upset and disappointed having spent such a huge sum of money.
  • 5/5 from Kayleigh Rand, attended Jan 2022: Fantastic taster session, the teacher was brilliant. Very friendly and made the session very enjoyable. Very well worth it!
  • 5/5 from Jayne Reeder, attended Sep 2021: Louise was great. Really responded to my queries and questions. Relaxed which was lovely. Highly recommended
  • 5/5 from Michelle Good, attended Aug 2021: Another great session with Louise. Feeling more confident each week to do different things. Louise always has an answer to all my questions and is really patient. Nothing is a problem. Great work space and all materials and tools provided. Definitely worth the money. Looking forward to next week
  • 5/5 from Michelle Good, attended Aug 2021: The teacher was really lovely and very helpful. She answered all my questions with detail. I walked away feeling a lot more confident to use my machine. The course was very informative. I’ve booked on to 2 more and i’m looking forward to learning more. If i have one criticism it would be the thatvteacher was not supplied with all resources which were needed for a couple of the projects. Overall a lovely experience and look forward to my next workshop.
  • 3/5 from Karen Seivwright, attended Aug 2021: Louise was great She struggled as the Internet was down So fair play to her
