One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Joe Demetriou, attended Jun 2026: Alex was wonderful, she helped us out a great deal with doing cricut cards, using a pen in the cricut, cutting correctly, great advice on using the mug press. All round great experience and plenty of information passed over.
  • 5/5 from Jillian Gae Henry, attended Jun 2026: I loved the course and the instructor was very clear and made it very easy to follow and to do the projects myself - I asked for lessons on using the design feature and for cutting and designing stickers. The instructor showed me how to do it myself and then helped me to pick out products to buy and take home based on what I needed for my project. I would recommend this class. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Dee Shepherd, attended Feb 2026: The teacher was great and very helpful with my cricut training and gave me great advice, hopefully I will be able to use my cricut now
  • 3/5 from Robert, attended Oct 2025: The two members of staff were helpful and friendly. However, neither of the machines they tried to demonstrate worked!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2025: I thought Eden was great. Incredibly knowledgeable and informative - I feel well prepared now Thank you Eden
  • 5/5 from Tracey Hoare, attended Jan 2025: Had some demonstrations that really helped using the design space and Cricut Joy Tutor was lovely. I enjoyed being shown the many options that design space offers
  • 5/5 from Vanessa Edwards, attended Jan 2025: What a fantastic session. I was unsure which cricut machine was for me and how easy it would be to use. Eden talked me through each machine and asked what kind of projects I wanted to make. She demonstrated how to use cricut design space and how to cut vinyl and card. She ran through different types of vinyls and which were best to use for different projects. Eden was so helpful and extremely knowledgeable. If anyone is thinking of getting a cricut I highly recommend this session. I now have the right cricut for me thanks to Eden.
  • 5/5 from Joanne Sills, attended Jan 2025: Very good class and my teacher was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I needed advice on which machine to go for based on my requirements and come away knowing exactly which one I needed.
  • 5/5 from Judith Mercer, attended Jan 2025: My workshop was about understanding the Design Space for my Cricut Joy Xtra. My teacher was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She listened to my concerns and covered everything I asked for help with. I came away with helpful notes that I made during the session and more confidence to start using my Cricut. It was value for money and very worthwhile. My only slight negative was that there was nowhere to sit down - I have arthritis in my knees, so felt a little uncomfortable by the end.
  • 5/5 from Pip Millard, attended Oct 2024: Eden was an absolutely brilliant teacher! I feel much more confident using the cricut machine now :)
  • 5/5 from Anya, attended Mar 2024: Brilliant hour with Eden. Everything from start to finish was explained well to me and I understood what I needed to and now going away with lots of ideas! Truthful and honest help, so really appreciated it! Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2023: The teacher, was very knowledgeable, really helpful and patient. Good workshop. Thank you for all the advice

  • 5/5 from Sue Moore, attended Nov 2023: An excellent workshop. With it being 121 I was able to ask questions and get answers straight away. Knowing that Alex had the same machine as me was also a bonus as she knew all the hints and tips. She also helped me with the accessories I needed to purchase. A lovely hour, thank you.
  • 5/5 from Stephen Gallacher, attended Jul 2023: The person giving me the class was very good very polite cared for my needs. was able to answer all the questions I had and was willing to repeat the answer if I didn't get it the first time. She is a good teacher she must be a credit to the great team you have at the cheltenham store
  • 5/5 from Sara Catlow-Hawkins, attended Mar 2023: Eden was very good, she put me at my ease straight away, has good product knowledge and was very encouraging.
  • 5/5 from Denise Holder, attended Jul 2022: I thoroughly enjoyed it worth every penny and got something to show for my time that I have been trying to do for ages
  • 4/5 from Gillian Clark, attended May 2022: The instructor was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She went through the Cricut techniques quite fast, but covered the points I asked about and was happy to go over certain points again. I should probably have done more myself rather than just watching, as it's easier to learn that way. But generally it was very useful and I will do further workshops with you.
  • 4/5 from Barry Lambert, attended Apr 2022: I really enjopyed the session and got a great deal from it. I have been using machines like this for over 20 years in schools but software and drivers esepcially have rendered most of the machines unusable. So time to have a look at these. Have spent a lot of time reading about them, good and bad reviews, wathcing you tube and looking at them in store but nothing beats having a 1:1 look at them. They look to be very versatile machines and we will be buying one of the bigger machnies this school year and possible some of the smaller vinyl cutters next year.
  • 3/5 from Jessica Prinsloo, attended Feb 2022: The lady was lovely, but unfortunately the app was not working and we could not connect to the machine at all She did answer some questions and showed and told me about cricut products, however, questions I had have been left unanswered.
  • 4/5 from Sally Jones, attended Jan 2022: I think it would of been better if I could of sat down for the lesson rather than standing and maybe on the machine I have the Maker but got lots of tips and ideas
  • 5/5 from Patricia Tuckfield, attended Nov 2021: A great insight into Cricut machines - perfect for anyone thinking of buying one…. Emily explained everything in detail, including the differences between the various machines, demonstrating the cutting of various materials and the different tools required. It was a very informative session and much appreciated! :)
  • 5/5 from Annette Cole, attended Aug 2021: My 1 on 1 tuition was great the young lady teaching me was very patient as I’ve never used a cricut machine before it was very daunting to start with and she gave me the confidence to use the cricut machine there was lots of space and so much materials to try out different projects, great value for money, I will be booking my self in for more tuition with other projects I was so pleased with the whole experience.
  • 5/5 from Charlie Horsey, attended Aug 2021: Hobby craft Cheltenham is a large well stocked store. The staff are all very friendly. Some technical IT issues (I do IT myself) meant that I wasn’t able to complete the 1:1 session but the 3 staff I dealt with did absolutely everything they could possibly do - we managed about 15 mins of the hour session but they have invited me back to re-do the session next week. I will definitely book more sessions the staff were knowledgeable, chatty and I will recommend the sessions to friends who have ‘ cricut’ machines.
