One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Karen Campbell, attended Apr 2026: Rona in the Falkirk branch was brilliant! Very accommodating. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Design Space and Cricut hardware. I would definitely recommend a 1:1 for a beginner.
  • 5/5 from Joyce Daly, attended Jan 2026: The lady that was the teacher was very polite and gave me some good advice I didn’t get a gift card so I can’t give a review on it
  • 5/5 from Heather Perry, attended Feb 2025: Rona was a great teacher and gave me loads of hints and tips so I am able To complete the projects I want to do. Only thing was that the time passed really quickly and could have stayed for a few more hours! Rona is a real asset to your store. Sadly the booking process wasn’t such a good experience - they couldn’t do the date I suggested but offered no alternatives - I emailed Back asking for any weekend or evening - no reply so I went to the store to ask - the attitude of the assistant was terrible, I have found out she’s leaving - definitely no loss. I almost was going to book with another store because of her - not helpful at all and I felt like I was putting her out! I think for £28 it would have been good to actually of made something to take away like a bookmark??

  • 5/5 from Sue Malloy, attended Sep 2023: Rona at the Falkirk store was brilliant. She listened to what I was needing help with after I had advised I had done a couple of things on Cricut but needed help with using the Mug Press and learning about different materials. We were disturbed on one occasion by a customer but this did not disturb the lesson too much. I learnt alot from Rona and would recommend these one to one classes to anyone who requires it.
  • 3/5 from Donna Marrs, attended Aug 2023: I attended a private 1hour lesson with Eve. She was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately I would say the biggest let down for us both was the WiFi! There was little to no signal. I brought my MacBook to get used to using design space on it but couldn't get any wifi so we used her tablet which unfortunately also kept having signal issues. Poor Eve was embarrassed and kept apologising. That was definitely not her fault she was very patient and knowledgeable however not great service to get a lesson costing £20 that requires WiFi to find out it's very poor quality!
  • 5/5 from Mary Jackson, attended Jun 2023: Rona us s very good instructor and sim going home to practice and maybe another class later on
  • 5/5 from Diane Reid, attended Feb 2023: Absolutely fantastic workshop, I have completely forgotten the ladies name. • 5/5 from Martin Swift, attended Feb 2023: From the onset Rona carefully took me through the various CriCut machines and was ready to answer all questions and queries I had. I was amazed at the range of fonts and characters the CriCut 3 had available, plus more available through a monthly subscription. The main reason for coming on the hour course was to know more, especially the Mug Press and different Heat Presses and I was amazed at the ease to use them and came away with a mug with my initials onwell worth the hour and now to sort out from my pension the monies to get them
