Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Charlotte Enderby-Ryall, attended Sep 2026: A friend bought me this class as a gift. There was initially some confusion as the gift voucher was for another store that no longer does classes, but having sorted out getting the voucher transferred to Exeter it was all very straightforward. Molly greeted me at the front of the store and was very friendly and welcoming. She is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about crafting, and was really helpful about steering me through the confusing world of Cricut design space and products. Although we only had an hour we packed a lot in, from Design Space tips, card cutting, scoring, layouts, SVGs, and HTV process. I’ve come home fired up and excited to get stuck in with some fun creating

We did buy a Cricut, and it came with everything my daughter needed to get started which was great. I’m glad I did the lesson first, because that way I knew I wasn’t wasting money on something that she might not use.

  • 5/5 from Linda Evans, attended Mar 2025: I bought myself the Cricut Joy just after Christmas, but hadnt got to using it so i bought myself a 1:1 tutorial. Kim, my tutor in Exeter, was amazing. Her knowledge was very helpful and it was great to be able to ask questions as they popped into my head, which she didn't mind. Kim talked me through how to use the Design Space App, and showed me how the Joy printed and cut. I'm so glad I booked this session and now feel more confident in using my machine. I have a feeling it won't be long before I upgrade!!
  • 5/5 from Tracy Bayliss, attended Mar 2025: To learn more about the cricut machine. Teacher very knowledgeable. Gained a better understanding, for what I want to achieve.
  • 5/5 from Karen Barnes, attended Feb 2025: I wanted to see how a cricut worked, and how easy it was to use. Molly took care off us at the Exeter store, she was very patient and showed us exactly what I wanted to know. And showed us how easy it was to use and swap between materials. We made a cake topper plus a heat press image. Can’t believe how quick they are to make and how quiet the machines are. Molly made us feel at ease and felt we could ask anything and she knew the answer. She was great Would highly recommend and might even go again once I get my cricut.
  • 5/5 from Bev Jepp, attended Jan 2025: Teacher was great. Very helpful. I learnt a lot. My only criticism was that I didn’t realise I had to stand up. I have fibromyalgia and my back was killing me.

  • 5/5 from Tina Pullen, attended Apr 2024: Ref. Exeter store and lovely friendly teacher Kim, who is knowledgeable about Cricut and patient in reference to my barrage of questions. I was particularly interested in the vinyl cut out procedure, and very impressed with the precision to which the machine, Joy Extra, completed its task. With Kim's font of know how regarding what the range of Cricut machines can do, I felt confident enough to make a purchase. The money for the class was well spent as I was able to have the time to ask questions on a one to one basis, and I believe this has saved money in the long run, by not spending money on a machine that was not right for me. Thank you Kim and Hobbycraft! Very much appreciated
