One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

So I looked at a few online and I saw there was a 1:1 Cricut workshop so I booked, when I arrived I met one of the lovely Hobby Craft staff named Sean. He was easy to talk and to listen to, so I understood most instructions. Perfect I’ll be booking another 1:1 in January

  • 5/5 from Louise Ash, attended May 2022: Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone new to cricut. Shane was very clear and made the software easier to understand. He was very knowledgeable and advised on the best products to use and other courses I was interested in. The set up was good with all products to hand and in the middle of the cricut section so was easy to look at products at the same time. Many thanks Shane!
  • 5/5 from Trisha Elkington, attended Mar 2022: I had an hours session with Shane and he was brilliant, can fully recommend him. His knowledge is really good and he was very patient with me - even with all the silly questions I asked. He showed me the whole process from creation to application and in fact we ran over time. But could not have been more helpful. Looking forward to booking my next class

  • 5/5 from Valerie Collins, attended Feb 2022: Shane was a good knowledgeable teacher, he explained things as he showed me and as a beginner in cricut made me more confident to use the machine, I now know how to make cards, what you need to do so and use the pen, very helpful and pleasant

  • 5/5 from Daisy Hall, attended Jan 2022: I had the hour one to one Cricut workshop. I am a complete beginner and wanted to learn how to produce a 3d design from card. The tutor picked a bee design and I learnt how to cut the different stages out of coloured card and how to make a crease in the wings for the 3d effect. It was very informative and the tutor was very helpful giving me tips for sticking the different layers of the bee together. I would really recommend this workshop for a beginner to get you started or for a more experienced crafter needing help on a project.
  • 4/5 from Beverley Watson, attended Jan 2022: Having a one-to-one session was perfect as it enabled me to get the best out of the hour and focus on what I needed to know in order to get started on my new machine. Shane was really good at explaining things and he did his best to answer my various questions based on moving from my (ten year) old Cricut to the much newer Explore Air 2. I went into the session hating my machine but now I am keen to try out what I've discovered. Will definitely book another session once I've got to grips with the basics!

Would highly recommend a 1-1 Cricut tutorial. When I am ready to progress will book another for using infusable ink. Worth the money and time.
