One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Margaret Ryan, attended Sep 2026: The lady was very very good at explaining things to me and very patient being I have ME CFS and it take a lot for it to sink in so thank you so much.
  • 3/5 from Niki Harvey, attended Aug 2026: Izzy was full of knowledge and helpful. I booked a 1-2-1 course for my daughter and I thought she would have had the chance to have a go making a card under the supervision of the teacher. It felt like we were just stood there being shown how to do it. By the time we got home she had forgotten some things which if she had practiced in store I think she would have remembered better.
  • 5/5 from Bernadette Chapman, attended Jun 2026: I have just had a 1 2 1 workshop on the maker 4 circuit machine. I so pleased I booked this workshop. Michelle was so knowledgeable and a great ambassador for Hobbycraft. I would highly recommend doing this if you are thinking of buying a circuit machine. I did purchase one Can’t wait to get it home and start having a go. Many thanks to everyone involved in setting up this workshop. Kind regards Bernadette Chapman
  • 5/5 from Helen Lundberg, attended Feb 2026: Michelle was brilliant! - very knowledgeable but also helped me understand at my own level. I am a beginner and had lost my confidence after making several mistakes. She took me step by step through a project so I now feel confident to go home and practice. Thanks very much

  • 5/5 from Carol Horne, attended Feb 2025: Having recently purchased a Cricut Maker 3, I wanted to have a one to one lesson. Whilst the screen was different than mine looked, I was able to apply waht I had learnt once at home. My teacher (didn't pick up her name) gave some excellent tips and was very knowledgeable about Cricut. Would recommend
  • 4/5 from Maxine Quantrill, attended Feb 2025: Everything was very good except the location of the 1:1. In the middle of the store means people stand around listening and watching. When you pay for a 1:1 you aren’t paying for others to learn at the same time

  • 5/5 from Annie Cherian, attended Nov 2024: I have been always wanting to learn what Cricut was all about and had been looking at booking a class for a long time. Michelle was ever so helpful, patient and explained the different types of machines, what they do, and gave me examples of what the machine does. It was good value for money, one hour long, I walked away with two items created and which I could use. Venue was close to my work place and home and so I was able to squeeze it in on a Friday afternoon.

  • 5/5 from Yvonne Cox, attended Apr 2024: I have had a Gemini cri-cut cut machine for some time. It made so much crunching that i wondered if i was doing something incorrectly, i then lost confidence using it and it has sat in a drawer for a few years. I saw this course at Hobbycraft and thought it was worth trying. Vanessa was a little worried about teaching me as she hadn't used a Gemini before herself. I assured her she knew more that me and we would give the lesson a go. Vanessa showed me how the plates went together, that the crunching was perfectly normal. We cut different materials out and used dies and embossing plates to show me the different techniques. I have come away feeling much more confident about using the machine and am looking forward to spending some time using it.
