One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1   £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Vickie Sword, attended Oct 2026: Great having the one to one as it health with any issues you were having and solutions to help.
  • 5/5 from Caroline Barron, attended Oct 2026: I had a 1 to 1 lesson at Hobbycraft at the Glasgow Fort. I must say that I was surprised to learn that lessons were given in the actual shop, whilst customers shopped round about us. I found this very distracting. All in all though, I could not fault what I was taught I came home doing exactly what I wanted. My tutor, explained how things were done. Then wrote a step by step procedure. Then let me go through it all by myself before leaving the shop. I would recommend lessons, and won't hesitate to book more lessons in the future.
  • 5/5 from Lyn Griffiths, attended Oct 2026: Jenny was a great teacher very patient and explained things well
  • 5/5 from Carol McGrath, attended Oct 2026: Workshop with Natasha at Hobbycraft, Crownpoint Leeds. It was brilliant! Natasha was so kind and made me feel very welcome. I learnt loads about how to use cricut with a good few tips along the way. I 100% recommend Natasha as Cricut teacher.
  • 5/5 from Nora Medgyesi, attended Oct 2026: It was a brilliant workshop. I have learnt how to use the machine and the different options available for me to utilise it in my business. My teacher was lovely and we had a great time. This workshop gave me ideas I can try in the future and reassured me that buying this machine was the right decision.
  • 5/5 from Eleanor Pursey, attended Oct 2026: The class was excellent, I learnt absolutely loads. Got to see the steps in action and try it out myself. Answered all my questions with patience and good knowledge too.
  • 5/5 from Annette Lawrence, attended Oct 2026: No occasion I really enjoyed learning how to make cards using the Cricut machine and the pen to create beautiful designs and personalised messages. The session was both enjoyable and informative, and I came away feeling much more confident about using the Cricut and exploring the different things it can do. The teacher was absolutely fantastic! She was warm, friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere where I felt comfortable and at ease. She was incredibly knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and patiently, and was always happy to help whenever we needed guidance. As a beginner, I particularly appreciated how she took the time to demonstrate the different techniques and guide me through the process step by step. Learning how to use the Cricut machine alongside the pen was exciting, and it was lovely to see how easily we could create something special with the right guidance. Overall, it was a brilliant experience. I learnt new skills, gained confidence and felt inspired to continue practising and making my own cards and personalised gifts at home. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in crafting, whether they are a complete beginner or have some experience. Thank you for such a wonderful and enjoyable session!
  • 5/5 from Drew Patmore, attended Oct 2026: Helen helped with a couple of projects that I was hoping to work on. She showed me the settings, different ways I could complete the projects and showed me additional things I could add to improve my projects. She was really helpful.
  • 5/5 from Rosemary Bate, attended Oct 2026: Really useful lesson with Annie who was so friendly and helpful. Gave me a great insight into the world of cricut with demos and plenty of time for questions. So pleased I had this session, I learn so much better in an in- person environment

  • 5/5 from Rebecca Strong, attended Oct 2026: I wanted to see how a Cricut machine worked with a view to purchasing one. I was shown the basic functions of the Cricut with Amy who was extremely knowledgable and answered any questions. I had brought some small samples of papers to test and it was a great way to see how to select which tool and material might work. Amy was very happy to try the samples I had brought in and so helpful with advice and suggestions. The one hour flew by and at the end I had decided to buy the Cricut Explore 5. A big thank you to Amy for her expertise and help.

  • 5/5 from Lorna Stephen, attended Oct 2026: I booked the CriCut tutorial at the Inverness store so I could learn how to use a Joy machine for work and home projects. Demi, the instructor, was lovely and very informative. They showed me how to use the App to create window decals and iron on transfers. This demo was relative to using the machine to make other crafts too and was super helpful. I would definitely recommend booking the instore demos. I am a physical learner so watching videos online doesn’t always make it click for me. I will keep an eye out for future presentations instore.
  • 5/5 from Brenda McKinlay, attended Oct 2026: Neil was very knowledgeable on Cricut Joy2. I learnt a lot, and enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend him.
  • 5/5 from Zenab Hussain, attended Oct 2026: Katie was amazing! Very informative. Lots to learn so you have to go and do more research but all basics are covered and any concerns are answered. Would liked to have had a god at creating something myself but time goes so fast.
  • 5/5 from Jackie Boyd, attended Oct 2026: Alexx once again helped with all my questions showing me ways of correcting my mistakes and producing exactly what I went for. This is my 3RD one on one workshop and am sure won't be my last! Thank you Alexx

  • 5/5 from Elaine Padmore, attended Oct 2026: There was an issue with the electrics at the start but once all that was sorted (which took around 20mins) everything else went smoothly and Jess (and IPoppy) were really very helpful through the workshop. We covered heatpress3 and all fabrics, timings and heat processes.

  • 5/5 from Deena Zarei, attended Oct 2026: I had two classes with Kate, and what an amazing experience! She was absolutely brilliant with me as a complete beginner, and now I feel confident enough to start working on my first projects. The first lesson focused on Design Space, and in the second lesson, we tried iron-on, which was great fun! Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and she took the time to answer all my questions. I’ve learned so much from her and feel much more confident using my Cricut Maker 3. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone who wants to learn more about their machine, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop your skills further. Thank you so much, Kate, for such a wonderful experience!

  • 4/5 from Lou Jones-Sullivan, attended Oct 2026: Great opportunity to see a machine in action. Shame they didn’t have the latest one working but very useful workshop and coming away with much excitement and new ideas.
  • 3/5 from Erika Dallinger, attended Oct 2026: Teacher was genuinely lovely, but technology fails and feeling like we were using scraps made it feel more like a simple machine demo than a workshop. Would have felt great if the cost of the class was redeemable off a machine, but obviously it’s not!
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2026: I learnt a lot about how to use Design Space, some different setting and tools. Cutting iron on and using an Easy Press was a good experience, although unsuccessful. I feel more confident using Design Space, but that was not why I had booked. Unfortunately, both the ipad being used froze and the materials used didn't work and spolit the bag that I was provided with. I am unable to use it for anything or remove the vinyl that didn't take properly. Disappointing for the price paid and has put me off buying an Easy Press.
  • 1/5 from Shahida Sabar, attended Oct 2026: She came late and unprepared. Wanted to do the class on a machine I was not buying because that was readily available.
  • 1/5 from Hayley Louise Swarbrick, attended Oct 2026: My teacher was so nice and helpful bear in mind I know a lot about cricut we got interrupted a lot by customer but he wasn’t nice to them. Needed help with engrave and didn’t get help with that. Was thinking of other idea I knew how to but didn’t want waste his time. Disappointed with what stuff he can’t teach but happy with what he can
  • 5/5 from Karen, attended Sep 2026: Holly was an amazing teacher, so patient and answered all our questions. The course was hands on so we got to experience, experiment and practice using a Cricut machine. I was a complete beginner and didn’t have a machine but went away with my very own new Cricut machine. I’d highly recommend this course.
  • 5/5 from Karen Gill, attended Sep 2026: Thank you to Kate who was very helpful and answered my questions brilliantly. The session was a gift from my husband

  • 5/5 from Jo Youdan, attended Sep 2026: The instructor was great and went with the flow on helping me get the most of my cricut machine. They were able to go with me figuring out questions as we went and I’ve come out with the knowledge for my immediate project but also handy hints and tips going forwards with a better understanding of how to use the software.
  • 5/5 from Michaela Miller, attended Sep 2026: Matt was totally brilliant and I am so grateful. We looked at cutting vinyl, iron on vinyl, engraving and cutting fabric. Really useful hints and tips. So grateful.

  • 5/5 from Catherine Hogarth, attended Sep 2026: Thoroughly enjoyed my one to one session in store with Alix today. She showed me how to design a project, cut it and weed. I am excited to get going with my Cricut Joy Xtra.
  • 5/5 from Denise McIntosh, attended Sep 2026: Just wanted to learn more. I have to say Jenny was very helpful in the information she was sharing with me and she was easy to talk to, about the circut Joy in how. I learned about the diffenent project i could do. I would have been nice to use the equitment not just look at a screen, so a small project would of been nice to do in the lesson
  • 5/5 from Erica, attended Sep 2026: Chrissie is a superstar!!! I have 3 Hobbycraft branches which are closer and more convenient to me to travel to but wanted to tap into Chrissie’s knowledge. I attended the 6 week Cricut online course more than 3 years ago and was so impressed with Chrissie’s knowledge and made a mental note that she worked at Southampton. I was not disappointed. Chrissie totally understood what I wanted to achieve and was as excited as I am regarding my project. Chrissie is a huge asset to your team.
