Needle Felt Autumn Pumpkin Workshop

Craft a cosy corner of autumn all your own in this beginner-friendly Needle Felt Autumn Pumpkin Workshop at the Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts, where you'll spend a relaxed two hours learning the art of needle felting while shaping your very own pumpkins to take home.There's something wonderfully calming about needle felting – the repetitive motion of shaping wool with a needle makes for a low-pressure, almost meditative way to spend an afternoon, and it's the perfect way to get into the spirit of the season. You'll work with rich autumnal tones – think warm oranges, rusts, and mustard yellows – gradually building up the texture and form of your pumpkin until it's ready to take pride of place on your mantelpiece or autumn table display.No experience needed – this session is made for first-timers, with plenty of friendly guidance along the way. Across the workshop, you'll:

• Learn the basics of needle felting from scratch
• Get introduced to the tools and materials used, so you feel confident using them again
• Pick up tips and techniques for shaping and adding detail to your pumpkins
• Come away with transferable skills you can use on future felting projects

By the end, you'll have a one-of-a-kind felted pumpkin (or two!) to take home, along with a new hands-on hobby to keep exploring long after the workshop ends.
