Hi, my name is Justine Stroud, and I have been running mosaic workshops in primary schools and community centres in South Wales since June 2012. I am fully insured, qualified (Art and Education BA Hons), and experienced. I have always loved painting and creating things, so I decided I would offer creating murals to pupils in schools. The first school that contacted me said that they wanted a mural for their nursery school in Bridgend, but when I went to speak to them, they said that what they really wanted was a mosaic. So I researched the materials and what to do, and thus Primary Colours Murals and Mosaics was born. I love teaching children and adults how to make mosaics; creativity offers relaxation, connectivity, and joy in someone's life, allowing a person to leave the stresses and strains outside the workshop door. It is very easy to do and can look amazing with little effort. I love watching people's confidence grow and seeing someone relax and enjoy learning new skills with old or new friends during the day. I create an environment with care, laughter, and encouragement. I walk everyone through the mosaic process on a level, beginners or more advanced, that they are comfortable with. Not many workshops allow people to create a complete mosaic in a day, but knowing how to excel the drying process, I am proud to be able to offer this: a lovely day and a complete mosaic to take home. I have won a bursary from the Welsh government for an initial business setup and have a variety of different mosaics on public display throughout South Wales, and I have worked with the National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon. I offer a range of different mosaic workshops for beginners and more advanced. These range from making an A4 mosaic picture, an A4 mosaic number house sign, an outside stepping stone, and an indoor sun mirror. I also offer business mosaic bonding experiences and children's art and craft birthday parties.
