Hello, I am Michael, a self taught Mosaic Artist and educator based in a beautiful small village in Hertfordshire, England. I started Mosaic crafting by a happy accident, I live in a Grade2. 17 century farm house and whilst gardening found many pieces of old china, pottery, glass which I began to make pictures with. This hobby started in 2019 and quickly became a business.
My work is inspired by my passion for our environment, my mantra is reduce, reuse, recycle. Go back centuries and there was no understanding of environmental issues that now plague the entire world. initially all the materials I used came from buried rubbish from my garden, today the materials still come from the garden but now from allotments, rivers, fields, litter picking, beach combing, in fact anywhere I visit and donated broken items. Every piece is a discarded item recycled into beautiful art.
I enjoy sharing my passion with others, teaching, motivating and helping you to explore your creative ideas.
