Monoprinting on a Gelli plate is simple and fun without the need for a printing press. The gratification is immediate, and each print is truly unique.
You will roll the ink out onto the plate before placing stencils or objects over it and then printing onto paper. It's fun, soothing, and makes totally unique artwork. Just watch and see what you create!
In this experience, you will:
  • Learn how to mix and apply paints to your Gelli plate
  • Use stencils, objects, and tools to create interesting effects and striking colour combinations
  • Discover and experiment with ways to create multi-layered monoprints
  • Have plenty of opportunities to play about with this fun print method
  • Enjoy watching your designs come to life!
This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether beginners or experienced printmakers looking to try something different. Children aged 12+ are very welcome when accompanied by an adult.
This workshop will be held in the upstairs workshop space at the brilliant independent store, Prior Shop in Cabot Circus. You receive a 5% discount on anything purchased from Prior shop on the day of your workshop.
