Join artist and creative technologist Sean Rodrigo for a hands-on two-day workshop exploring the art of miniature model-making inspired by the everyday urban environment.
Across a weekend, participants will sketch out details from local streets – from graffiti-covered walls to bus stops, bollards, postboxes, and public benches. Using a mix of traditional and digital design skills, they’ll transform these real-world elements into detailed, scaled-down models.
Working with tools like 3D printers and laser cutters, attendees will learn to sketch, measure, and digitally design their own miniature scenes or objects. The final outcome will be a collaborative urban diorama filled with unique street-inspired creations.
This workshop introduces participants to practical skills in scale drawing, 3D modelling, digital fabrication, painting, and assembly, while encouraging creativity and attention to overlooked details in everyday public spaces.
