£5 - £25 (£5 for Community Taster Ticket; £15 for True Cost Ticket; £25 for Pay it Forward Ticket)

Join this brilliant introduction to basket weaving with tutor Monica Heeran at The Remakery and discover how to weave dried daffodil stems into a charming, functioning miniature basket. You'll learn the essential techniques in a fun, social setting surrounded by people who are curious about making something with their hands.
Basket weaving might feel tricky at first – every crafter finds their own rhythm with it – but here's the lovely thing: because you're making something small and manageable, you can easily continue the process at home if you need to. There's no pressure to finish everything in the session; you'll have created something beautiful that you can nurture and complete at your own pace.
The Remakery is committed to making ecological craft genuinely accessible to everyone in the community. That's why Thursday classes are subsidised, and why we offer Community Taster Tickets at just £5 for anyone facing financial barriers – particularly if you're under 25 or unwaged. If you'd like to support the programme and guarantee income for local ecological practitioners, our True Cost tickets are also available. Every ticket helps keep this work going.
Please note: due to the admin involved, we're unable to offer refunds or reschedules for Thursday evening classes. But we hope you'll join us and become part of this warm, welcoming community of makers.

The Remakery started 10 years ago as a community space for repairing and upcycling furniture.
Since then we have developed several communal workshops for a range of eco-craft activities, and an exciting programme to link climate action with the empowerment of making with your hands.
Our practitioners have trained at London's top Arts schools, or developed their skills over years of self-discovery.
Our programme is curated by Alice Holloway; A researcher in regenerative fashion with The RCA and London Met university, and Innovate Creative Catalyst grant winning regenerative fashion designer.
The skills we share at the Remakery are proven to improve mental health, as well as change how class attendees see the world. We want everyone to feel empowered to make a difference, and we have seen how learning to make something is often in the first step towards changing something bigger.
