Recent reviews of Metalsmithing Leaf Decoration Workshop
- 5/5 from Amy-Elizabeth Jones, attended Aug 2026: Really great class! Morva was so patient with me and my children. We made copper and silver stars and they look fantastic. Morva also provided some lovely refreshments. Hope to book another class in the future.
- 5/5 from Sue & Nigel, attended Jun 2026: This was such a brilliant class. Morvarid was an excellent teacher, really clear and patient, helping when it was needed and stepping back to let us get on. It was a project you could succeed at, and we all made beautiful leaves that were all different. Thank you for such an amazing morning
- 5/5 from Alice Watkinson, attended Jun 2026: Made a lovely leaf decoration, Movarid was incredibly helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back to her again!
- 5/5 from Isabeau Garry, attended May 2026: We had a great time, our teacher made us feel very comfortable and was very helpful throughout the process. We really enjoyed it and the art we got to bring home.
- 5/5 from Penny Dobrowolska, attended Mar 2026: Metalsmith Leaf Decoration with Morvarid is pure joy! Keen to learn a new skill completely out of our comfort zone, my friend and I booked a private class and could not have enjoyed it more! Morvarid is a wonderful teacher. Skilled, patient, warm and kind; I would highly recommend a workshop with her to anyone seeking a new and interesting experience. I am genuinely really proud of my leaf! Thanks, Morvarid!
- 5/5 from Rebecca Lindley, attended Feb 2026: Morvarid was a brilliant teacher who was very sweet, fun and passionate about what she does. Me and my boyfriend went to try something new and thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
- 5/5 from Amber Dyson, attended Dec 2025: A fantastic evening with Morvaid! We were welcomed at the door of the venue and guided to a wonderful studio where we got to know our tutor. Morvaid was very warm and welcoming, making us feel incredibly comfortable straight away. Morva took us through the steps of creating our metal leaves with great care, giving us ample time and space to execute the instructions. We really had an incredible time and can't wait to book on another course. It's clear that Morva is a passionate artist and that translates into her teaching skills. Booking process, gifting process (I bought my friend her place in the workshop as a birthday gift) was all incredibly easy and I will most certainly be looking at ClassBento for events in the future.
Your teacher
For Morvarid, working with metal is both a source of inner peace and self-discovery. She finds it fascinating to see how the movement of her body translates into the movement of the material, creating a unique collaboration between maker and metal. With a passion for sharing this experience, she invites students to explore silversmithing, discovering creativity, mindfulness, and joy while making their own piece to take home. Morvarid is an Iranian interdisciplinary metal artist based in the UK. She has exhibited internationally and received awards including the Silver Fellowship at Yorkshire Artspace, a Master’s in Jewellery and Metal from the Royal College of Art supported by the Behrens Foundation Bursary, and the Jane Goodman Award during her residency at Bishopland Educational Trust.
