You will be guided through the process step by step from understanding the traditional patterns to mastering the technique of layering colours with finesse.
Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form that involves creating colourful patterns on the floor or tabletop. The word "rangoli" comes from the Sanskrit word rangavalli, which means "rows of colours".
Rangoli is often made during Indian traditional festivals and other important celebrations, such as Diwali, Tihar, Onam, and Pongal.
Rangoli is made to welcome Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth and good luck, into homes.
Don't worry if you're a complete beginner – our experienced instructor will make sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the class. You'll work with a variety of materials, including coloured powders and chalk, to bring your mandala rangoli to life.
Immerse yourself in the rhythmic flow of creating intricate designs, and feel the stress melt away as you focus on each intricate detail. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a beautiful mandala rangoli to take home – a tangible reminder of your creativity and something to light up your homes this festive season!

Hi, I am Ekta, the founder of StoryBeyondLines.
Storybeyondlines was conceptualized, aimed at bringing the traditional & spiritual art to the world. To promote art which not only brings joy to people, but also has soothing and transformative effects on ones’ energy, has been a key theme of Storybeyondlines.
A self-taught artist, I have had a deep inclination for art since childhood and have been creating artwork since more than a decade.
Over the years, I realised that I wanted to bring to the world the art that would make someone feel connected to his/her spiritual energy. And therefore my passion for the mandala art grew and she took to my calling to bring forward this art work to a wider audience.
With numerous workshops to my side, i host curated events, retreats and work on commissioned art-works. Have exhibited at the cultural wing of the Indian High Commission in London, even hosted workshops at the Royal Maritime Museum, Greenwich and i am deeply rooted to expressing and bringing forward this beautiful art form across borders.
I Have been featured on BBC Sunday Morning Live, where I spoke, about Mandala Art and its benefits in healing and relieving stress.
