What you'll do
Learn some mosaic making skills and create your own bespoke mandala mosaic at this relaxing craft workshop in St Albans.
Join expert mosaic teacher, Audrey for a chilled three-hour evening class of creativity and colour. You'll be given lots of support and gain a whole range of mosaic making knowledge, creating your own mosaic mandala to keep. Your finished design will be make a lovely addition to your home or garden!
As you work through your mosaic class, you'll learn all stages of the mosaic making process using a range of vibrant tiles to create a design of your choice.
Working with a wide variety of glass mosaic tiles, you will learn how to create a successful design, how to snip and place your tiles to create an effective design. All materials will be provided and should you not complete your design on the day you'll be given all necessary materials to take home with you and Audrey will be on-hand to support you to complete.
This mosaic making workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those who have experience in mosaic making. The workshop is for adults but also open to children who are keen to attend with a participating adult and who will be happy to participate for the duration. Children 12 years and above enjoy this class best!
By the end of your workshop, you'll have your own mosaic to take home with a small bag of grout and step by step instructions to complete the grouting process at home. You'll also have lots of new mosaic making skills to use for future craft projects.

Your teacher
I'm Audrey and I run Montet Designs. I have been creating, making, mentoring and teaching visual art with communities for the past 20 years. As a community artist, working with people is my true passion! I've worked with so many fabulous organisations, schools, charities and community groups creating wonderful small and large scale projects.
In the last 14 years have focused my teaching on mosaic art. I'm super passionate about bringing this art form to as many people as possible! It's relaxing, meditative and accessible to everyone, no matter your age or ability. It's great for teams, colleagues, families and friends and I promise you that even if you think you're not creative, you'll definitely finish my courses with something you'll be proud to show off.
