What you'll do
Whether a cat, dog or bunny lover, come and learn how to make a mosaic design to represent your purrfect friend at this hands-on craft class from Rachel Shilston!
Get creative using vitreous glass tiles, ceramic beads, broken vintage plates and buttons as you piece together a beautiful picture of your one-of-a-kind pet to cherish forever.
Expert teacher Rachel will be on hand to provide step-by-step support, so don't worry if you're not usually the crafty type. This mosaic workshop is perfect for all skill levels and will help you connect small pieces to create a stunning design.
In this class, you'll learn to:
- Plan your design.
- Shape your tiles.
- Glue your tiles.
- Grout your finished piece.
Whether you're looking for experience gifts for a pet-loving couple or you want to level up your date ideas with some creative fun, you'll finish this class with a new skill and a piece of mosaic art to display at home.
Please note:
- Your finished mosaic will measure approximately 20cm and is for indoor display.
- Although there won't be time to grout your piece during the workshop, Rachel will provide a short demo and enough grout to finish your piece at home.
What you'll get

Your teacher
As a trained secondary school art teacher with 20 years' experience delivering creative projects, I strive to help people improve their wellbeing and quality of life, by making it easy, accessible and fun to get creative anywhere in the world.
With a passion for mosaic, there's so much I can do to show you and your friends how absorbing and enjoyable this colourful and tactile craft can be. Investing in yourself is important and focussing on something creative is so good for the soul. I know that mosaic is the perfect way to unwind for a couple of hours and by nurturing the bit of you that perhaps doesn’t get much attention, I can guarantee you will feel empowered, fulfilled and happy.
Whether on a workshop or through one of my kits, I really hope to inspire your creativity soon.
