Make Your Own Japanese Fabric Art in This Kinusaiga Workshop

Fancy trying something a little different? Come along for a relaxed and creative Halloween-inspired Kinusaiga workshop and have a go at the Japanese art of creating beautiful fabric pictures, with no sewing involved!You don’t need any experience at all. I’ll show you how everything works and be there to help you along the way. You’ll get to play around with lots of different fabrics, colours and patterns to create a piece that’s completely your own.There’ll be a selection of Halloween-inspired templates to choose from, or you can have a go at drawing your own design. And it definitely doesn’t have to be Halloween themed, if you’ve got another idea you’d like to try, go for it!We’ll work through your piece together, from choosing your design and fabrics to learning how to tuck and layer the fabric to create that lovely Kinusaiga effect.Hopefully you’ll head home with a finished piece, but there’s absolutely no pressure to get it all done on the day. If you don’t finish, I’ll make sure you have everything you need, plus plenty of guidance, to carry on and finish it at home.You’ll also have the option to have your finished piece framed on the day, so you can take it home ready to display (or gift!).And if you catch the Kinusaiga bug, I’ll have craft packs available to buy on the day so you can take another project home with you.Mostly, it’s just a chance to switch off, get creative, have a chat and try something new in a small, friendly group.
