Ever looked at a chunky silver ring and wondered how it's actually made? Here's your chance to find out, by making one yourself.Over a few relaxed, hands-on hours, Angela, founder of Orchard Jewellery and a silversmith with over 10 years' experience of making jewellery, will guide you through every stage of creating your own wide band sterling silver ring.You'll do it all the traditional way: measuring your silver, shaping it into a band, soldering the join, hammering in your own texture and polishing it up until it's ready to wear. Every mark on it will be yours.The wide band gives the ring real weight and character, and looks just as good worn on its own as it does stacked with other rings.Never picked up a jeweller's saw? Not a problem. No experience is needed, and Angela explains everything clearly and patiently in a friendly, welcoming studio.By the end of the session, you'll walk out wearing a ring you made with your own hands, plus a few new skills and a real understanding of what goes into well-made jewellery.
