What you'll do
This beginners' macrame class is a brilliant chance to learn how to macrame!
Guided by experienced craft teachers in a cosy studio space, you'll be shown how to macrame and will create your own candle hanger or feather wall hanging.
Macrame is a type of textile craft that uses string knotted in patterns. Macrame is a soothing and addictive craft and is a wonderful medium for making a range of homewares such as plant hangers, bags, necklaces and wallhangings.
Expert crafters, Anne and Kate, will show you how to macrame and will guide you through some simple techniques to create a stylish candle holder or feather wall hanging.
By the end of your macrame class, you'll have your own handmade macrame hanger or wall hanging to take home with you!

We run Craft Den sessions for children to create throughout the school holidays and evening adult taster sessions for a variety of crafts, such as macrame, needle felting and embroidery. We also invite local crafters to come in to teach their specialisms such as cake decorating, jewellery and paper cutting.
