Locksley distilling was started in 2013 by John and Cynthia. They tried over 100 recipes before settling on number 61 to start one of the UK's first 15 distilleries. We moved to Portland works in 2015 and have been distilling out of our grade II listed home ever since. We pride ourselves on top-quality spirits, and liqueurs as well; if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

Wow! Didn’t know what to expect, first time doing this, was given it as a present. Great experience, very welcoming, personable and informative teacher who made it fun and relaxed! Lots of tasting and amazing building we felt like we were on a film set! Would highly recommend

Elliot the host was excellent and very knowledgeable. He made the whole event enjoyable and gave us all generous measures!
The tour was interesting and good to see how an artisan distillery was so successful with a small number of staff.
We thoroughly recommend this experience to gin drinkers and non-gin drinkers alike! Excellent value for money.

Fantastic experience! Elliott was knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. The tour of the factory is informative and you get to try lots of their artisan gins and liqueurs, so don't drive. Elliot was a superb guide throughout the whole gin experience. He talked confidently about Portland Works and it's history, the creation of the Robin of Loxley gin company and the process from botanical to bottle. Tasting of the various gins and their background was really good. Don't expect to drive home. Highly recommend both the tour and the gin.
