What you'll do
Discover the versatile and exciting art of linocut on this fun and friendly evening printmaking course. This activity is suitable for all abilities, offering a wonderfully supportive environment where you can learn a new skill and express your creativity.Your teacher, Jo, will teach you the principles of relief printmaking and gently guide you to work in an intuitive way. You will learn how to take an idea from a simple sketch to a finished piece of art.Throughout this hands-on session, you will:
- Design an effective image for a linocut print.
- Safely carve your design into the lino block.
- Ink your block and print it in a variety of ways using colour.

Hello! I am a working artist and fully qualified teacher (PGCE) who runs an art studio in Southampton. I have an arts degree and a creative portfolio career spanning over 30 years. I am passionate about bringing the joy of art and creativity to everyone. I believe in helping people discover their true unique style through trusting the process of experiential and intuitive techniques.
