What you'll do
This quilting course in Bristol runs over 12 weeks, with 6 in-person class days designed to guide you through every step of creating your own sampler quilt! With a mix of demonstrations and practice, you’ll build your skills gradually while working on your own unique quilt.No quilting experience is needed! You’ll be supported step by step, with clear guidance and time to learn at a comfortable pace as your confidence grows.What to expect:
- Learn how to cut fabric accurately using a rotary cutter.
- Create three different quilt block designs and piecing it together.
- Add sashing and cornerstones to complete the design.
- Prepare your quilt for stitching by making a quilt sandwich.
- Explore fused appliqué to add hearts or your own chosen design!
- Use your own sewing machine to quilt your project.
- Make a hanging sleeve and label for your quilt.
- Create and attach binding to finish your quilt.
- A structured course with in-person sessions and homework tasks to support your progress.
