Leaf & Clay was founded in 2023, born from a lifelong love of making and creativity.With a background in textile design and many years working as a childminder, I’ve always found joy in nurturing both curiosity and creativity. My passion for ceramics runs even deeper — it was shaped from childhood days spent in my mum’s studio, where she worked as a ceramic artist, sculptor and teacher. I grew up experimenting with clay, learning techniques and discovering the magic of turning raw material into something beautiful.When my mum could no longer work in 2023, she generously passed on her kiln and tools to me — and I jumped at the chance to turn this passion into something real. After a year of honing my skills and building my own cosy, welcoming studio, I began offering after-school lessons. The response was wonderful, and due to so many enquiries, I now run workshops throughout the year for all ages — from little hands to adults looking for a mindful, creative escape.
