I’m Lauren, a calligrapher and calligraphy teacher based in Hertfordshire and London. I’ve been an avid crafter since I was a child and often considered myself a bit of a ‘jack of all trades’ crafter. Until 2016, when I discovered calligraphy as I explored ways to DIY my wedding. At the same time I came across all of my late Grandfather’s supplies from his time as a sign writer and calligrapher… Calligraphy just felt right and I continued to nurture the skill.

As a former Arts Education student, informal educator and qualified secondary school teacher, I have a lot of teaching experience and love to create workshops that are accessible to all and help to nurture a new skill. My workshops are great for beginners and enthusiasts and are at my welcoming studio in Hertfordshire or at a location of your choice. So if you are looking to add a personal touch to your own event, or just explore the art of calligraphy in a relaxed, creative environment, then I can’t wait to meet you!
