By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a handmade Kokedama, a macramé hanger, and the knowledge to care for your creation for years to come.

Discover the beautiful Japanese art of Kokedama in this relaxed, hands-on workshop in Brighton and create your own stunning moss-wrapped plant that'll become a genuine conversation piece in your home.
Over 1.5 hours, you'll learn the traditional techniques used to create Kokedama, starting with mixing your own bonsai soil blend from a selection of specialist substrates. It's satisfying work, getting your hands in there and creating the perfect foundation. Once your soil is ready, you'll shape and wrap your chosen plant in moss to create that distinctive, beautiful moss ball – the kind of living art that looks deceptively simple but feels genuinely special when you've made it yourself.
You'll also make a simple macramé hanger using twine, so your finished Kokedama has a beautiful way to be displayed – hanging in a window, from a shelf, wherever it catches the light and brings a touch of nature into your space.
You'll leave with your finished Kokedama ready to find its perfect spot at home, and the knowledge to care for it – plus that lovely feeling of having spent time creating something entirely with your own hands.
