7 to 16 years     2 hours Class size 1 to 4 guests       £20

Are your children interested in learning how to crochet? Then send them along to The Nimble Thimble for a beginner-friendly introduction to this popular craft.
They will learn how to create a chain and basic stitches like doubles and trebles. They'll then move on to a simple granny square, which they can practise at home.
Don't worry if they're new to crocheting; our experienced instructor will guide them step-by-step and create a welcoming environment for them to explore this creative activity.
At the end of the class, they will return home with a new skill, feeling accomplished and inspired. Get ready to be impressed with what they can achieve using just a hook and some yarn.
This class is also suitable for those who have mastered the basics but just need some guidance on how to move on or pattern reading.

The Nimble Thimble was started in 2009 by two friends Val Sandford and Jane Templeman who loved to craft but couldn’t find anywhere local.
From this small beginning The Nimble Thimble was born and proved to be a huge success. So much so that it quickly out grew its premises in Bridge Street and moved to a larger space in Well Street, where it can still be found today.
In 2020 Jane Hawkins took over and, together with Sara Blackwell and Kate Lowe, they aim to make The Nimble Thimble the one stop destination.
2021 saw a facelift and reorganisation of the shop layout. This created more space for new yarn and crafts as well as dressmaking fabrics for the first time.
