What you'll do
Are you looking for something creative for your children to do over this holiday period in Buckingham? Let them join The Nimble Thimble for this hands-on class and learn how to use a sewing machine and make a simple Heart Cushion. At the end of the class, they will take home their cushion, confidence, and newfound skills to continue sewing. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience of using a sewing machine (parents/guardians are welcome to stay).

The Nimble Thimble was started in 2009 by two friends Val Sandford and Jane Templeman who loved to craft but couldn’t find anywhere local.From this small beginning The Nimble Thimble was born and proved to be a huge success. So much so that it quickly out grew its premises in Bridge Street and moved to a larger space in Well Street, where it can still be found today.In 2020 Jane Hawkins took over and, together with Sara Blackwell and Kate Lowe, they aim to make The Nimble Thimble the one stop destination.2021 saw a facelift and reorganisation of the shop layout. This created more space for new yarn and crafts as well as dressmaking fabrics for the first time.
