Hello, I'm Karen, the founder of Petal Art House.
After spending many years as a teacher and educational leader, I discovered a new creative path inspired by the flowers and countryside around my home in Sussex. I left education and attended a 1:1 floristry course. I found that foraging for flowers and foliage, along with growing my own flowers became a wonderfully restorative way to slow down, reconnect with nature and nurture my wellbeing.
What began as a personal creative outlet soon grew into Petal Art House, where I design handcrafted floral wreaths, flower crowns and botanical artwork inspired by the changing seasons. Every piece reflects my love of nature and my belief that creativity can bring joy, mindfulness and a sense of calm.
Teaching has always been at the heart of everything I do. I love helping people discover that they can create something beautiful, regardless of their experience. My workshops are relaxed, welcoming and designed for everyone - from complete beginners to those looking to develop their creative skills. I can also create bespoke workshops.
I deliver workshops, private celebrations (birthdays, hen celebrations and other celebrations), festival workshops, community groups and team-building and wellbeing sessions. My aim is to create a warm, encouraging environment where people can unwind, connect with others and leave with both a beautiful handmade creation and a renewed sense of wellbeing.
I look forward to welcoming you to a Petal Art House workshop and sharing the restorative joy of working with flowers and nature.
