Jewellery Making Workshop - Linda Necklace

Make this gorgeous necklace using beadweaving techniques.

3 hours Class size 4 to 12     label £25

Using this jewellery making technique called beadweaving, we will use a special needle and thread to stitch together glass beads to make this very elegant necklace. The thread that we use has been specifically designed and is tremendously strong, a single thread can hold up to 4 bags of sugar before breaking!

You will be shown how to stitch the beads in a specific way which will create a herringbone pattern. Beadweaving has infinite design elements with lots of different shape and size beads to really get your creative side excited.

This is a very relaxing workshop, no experience is necessary. You will have a kit containing all the beads and a step-by-step photo tutorial when you attend, should you not complete the whole necklace during the class, the photo tutorial will help guide you through to the finish. I am also available via social media should you require assistance after the class.

I will have kits in several different colours for you to choose from. More kits will be available to purchase on the day. Teas and coffees freely available throughout the class.

I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember, it's definitely a family thing, my mother, grandmother and great grandmother were all crafters. I believe we are all born with a tiny seed of creativity, luckily for me it was nurtured throughout my upbringing.

I love creating and making - transforming beads, wool, cord etc into wonderful and unique creations! It's therapeutic and soothes my soul! The next best thing is passing on this knowledge through teaching.

I started teaching crafting around 2013/2014, initially Beadweaving and quickly became an international bead designer (see Dragonfly Designs UK) and as time went on I incorporated my other crafts, Needlefelting, Weaving, Wetfelting, Wool Spinning, Macrame, Crochet, knitting, Fluid Art - and still have more I want to discover.

I live and work 5 minutes from the ocean under the name 'Happy Ever Crafter' which is located on the Swansea Bay coast in South Wales, UK. Being so close to the ocean, national parks and mountains really sparks my creativity.
