2.5 hours

Class size 1 to 18 (public classes), 4 to 20
  £38

If you've ever seen bold and beautiful items made from jesmonite in the shops or on socials and fancied them in your home, why not have a go at making your own?
During this workshop, you’ll have fun choosing a colour palette and creating your own pigmented jesmonite that you will crack into chips that form the terrazzo. You will then pour this fascinating material into silicon moulds to form a match strike pot and matching tealight holders.
Once the jesmonite has set, for the last part of the workshop you will sand and polish to reveal your terrazzo design.
Everything you need will be ready and waiting for you at the workshop, and you'll have the full support of your friendly tutor throughout, so no worries about getting stuck. You'll leave the class with your stunning jesmonite items, plus all the know-how to make more in the future.
Please note that there will be a 45 minute drying time during this workshop where you can enjoy a drink and snacks.

We’re passionate about craft but being able to make things you’d actually be proud to show off in your home or give as a gift. We also try to offer a range of activities that are a bit different, away from the norm but still being accessible for any level of craft skill.
Common Room is run by Vicky & Ella. Vicky is a teacher by day but also runs a perinatal mental health support group and is passionate about positive mental health. Ella has a creative background in photography and interior design and also runs her own business Ella's Garden. They've got a mutual love of craft and so decided to combine their skills and set up Common Room to facilitate other people to make and create.

Common Room Social Workshops is also a ClassBento award winner:
