In this immersive workshop, you'll learn the ancient Japanese technique of Shibori tie-dyeing under the expert guidance of artist Emi Fujisawa. You'll discover how to create your own indigo dye vat and design a beautiful Shibori piece to proudly take home, along with a set of sashiko needles to continue your creative practice.
This beginner-friendly activity makes Shibori accessible to everyone. Emi's step-by-step instruction ensures you'll feel confident as you develop these traditional skills.
Throughout this enriching workshop, you'll work with authentic materials and tools as you explore this centuries-old craft. You'll experience the satisfaction of watching your fabric transform as you learn:

  • How to transfer your design to the Shibori dye
  • Basic Shibori stitching techniques
