The Venetian Kitchen: a table for every season
In this class, you'll gather around a table inspired by Venice and the Italian countryside. You'll learn authentic recipes and cooking techniques rooted in the season's best produce, all in a convivial and relaxed setting. Each date on our calendar follows the rhythm of the seasons — so the recipes you cook will reflect exactly what's fresh and beautiful right now.
What you will cook
  • Starter: three traditional small bites - a bread‑based one, a fried one, and a marinated or stewed one. Perfect to enjoy with your aperitif (aperol spritz or a non‑alcoholic alternative).
  • Main course: a vibrant risotto, gnocchi, or pasta dish, chosen according to seasonal produce and market finds.
  • Dessert: a classic Venetian sweet treat to accompany your Italian‑style coffee, rounding off the meal with light, fragrant spring flavours.

Hi everyone, we’re Fabio and Agnese, a trained cook and a stylist, and the voices behind the Venetian Kitchen.
We grew up in Venice and the countryside, surrounded by mammas and nonnas who taught us recipes and stories from the lagoon, plains, and mountains. Over ten years ago, we moved to yet another island and extraordinary town: London. While we’ve grown to love our new home, our heart remains with Venice and the Veneto region – a centuries‑long fusion of cultures that continues to inspire us.
Through The Venetian Kitchen, we bring those flavours and stories to our table, and to tables everywhere.
Our kitchen is both memory and invitation: a way to connect across borders through food and story, while celebrating simple, comforting recipes that bring people together. Guided by nature and seasonality, each recipe carries the same spirit of simplicity, honesty, and celebration. That is why, while many of our dishes are rooted in Venetian tradition, we also embrace creativity. Some are inspired by memory, others by the ingredients and approaches of the Veneto region, reimagined for today’s tables.
We like to think that more than food, the Venetian Kitchen is about community and connection – sharing the untold stories of our Venetian cuisine and creating moments of warmth wherever people gather.
Alongside the Venetian Kitchen, Fabio runs Brixton Windmill baking classes throughout the year. Agnes leads on recipe development and food styling, as well as interior‑designing and table‑scaping welcoming spaces and dining tables for our cooking classes.
We are both members of the Venice in Peril Fund, the leading British charity dedicated to safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of Venice, now and for future generations.
We’re grateful you’re here, and we hope you’ll cook along with us – through our recipes, our classes, and the stories that make every dish a celebration of flavour and comforting simplicity.
