  • 5/5 from Trish Gooch, attended Oct 2026: A fun class - I wanted to carry on afterwards!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2026: A great course with a knowledgeable and helpful instructor. Made everyone feel comfortable, provided positive feedback and supported when things weren't going quite right. I would definitely recommend this course. The only somewhat negative feedback is about the information available about this course and the additional costs that come with keeping your pieces and painting them if you choose. Price aside, I couldn’t fault the instructor or the experience they provided.
  • 5/5 from Sophia & Max, attended Oct 2026: It was really a fun time and lots of smiles. I liked the experience overall.
  • 5/5 from Sophie, attended Oct 2026: This is a fantastic taster course, pitched just right, really well explained and a lot of fun. I just didn't want it to end and now hoping to do the 6 week course.

  • 5/5 from Penny Ellis, attended Aug 2026: Fun class, great teacher.
  • 5/5 from Hervik James, attended Aug 2026: This was my first time to try pottery. Our Instructor was giu and he was really great. He taught us techniques and he made sure that we all get a decent artwork in the end. I love the fact that it was really hand on and that most of it is learning by doing.
  • 5/5 from Claire Turnbull, attended Aug 2026: The class was excellent, Fred’s instructions were clear and easy to follow. He made it fun and helped us when we needed it. We are considering the 6 week class as a results!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2026: Session was a gift from my mum. Tried the wheel and it was great fun. The teacher Giuseppe was very informative and entertaining, and just the right size group.

  • 5/5 from Garry Winder, attended Aug 2026: Great fun...a lot more difficult than it looks but the teacher was very patient and even coped with a 10 year old. I would recommend you having a go.
  • 5/5 from Ash Auld, attended Aug 2026: A fab time with friends learning a new skill. Lovely afternoon, friendly team, thanks so much
  • 5/5 from Rachael Withe, attended Aug 2026: A fun and really engaging experience. All the teachers were brilliant and so helpful. It was a 9 year anniversary gift for my wife and we both enjoyed it. Highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Mo Bokth, attended Aug 2026: Was a great way to spend sometime with the wife. We learned a lot for a taster session and will be sure to return!
  • 3/5 from Candice, attended Aug 2026: The studio had a nice atmosphere and the team was welcoming. However, as a complete beginner, I found the pace a bit challenging. The demonstration at the start covered the entire throwing and cleaning process in one go, which was a lot of information to retain before actually touching the wheel. It would be really helpful for first-timers if the class could be broken down into smaller step-by-step stages (e.g. practicing centering first before moving on to opening and pulling). Overall a nice space, but a more paced approach would make it much more beginner-friendly.
  • 2/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2026: Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the introduction to pottery class. There were simply too many people for the size of the space, which made the whole class feel very cramped. Everyone was working extremely close together, making it difficult to manoeuvre around. It also meant there wasn’t always enough room to position ourselves properly for some of the techniques being demonstrated. The instruction was also a let-down. We were bombarded with information at the beginning, with the entire process being demonstrated from start to finish before we had even touched the clay. As complete beginners, this was far too much to take in at once, and naturally a lot of it was difficult to remember when we actually came to do it ourselves. It would have been much more useful to demonstrate each stage as we reached it and then allow us to practise before moving on. The demonstrations themselves weren’t always explained clearly or easy to follow, and when things went wrong, the teacher often took over and fixed them rather than showing us how to improve our technique ourselves. There also didn’t seem to be enough opportunity for individual guidance or questions, particularly given the number of people in the class. As the class went on, it became increasingly rushed. We didn’t really have enough time to practise or experiment, and there was a sense of pressure to finish rather than properly learn the process. The combination of the large class size and limited time made the pace feel particularly rushed towards the end. Overall, we left feeling that we hadn’t really learned enough to confidently try pottery ourselves. The finished pieces also felt more like something the instructor had helped make than something we had made independently. For the price, we expected a more relaxed, hands-on and genuinely instructional experience.

  • 5/5 from Michelle Scott, attended Jul 2026: Had purchased as a birthday gift for my husband after being inspired by the Great Pottery Throwdown. We went as a family of 3, myself, my husband and our 15 year old daughter. Great initial tuition on what to do, support throughout when things went wrong and they did. A great fun way to spend time together as a family. Absolutely loved it and couldn't recommend it more.

  • 5/5 from Kevin Bradley, attended May 2026: So much patience. I really enjoyed myself, even when my creation self destructed. I think I could get hooked on this.
  • 5/5 from Stephen Mussett, attended May 2026: As complete newbies to pottery, we had a brilliant time with Jess, who somehow managed to give a comprehensive opening lesson/demo, oversee the first efforts, spend time with each of the group and rescue anything that had spectacularly collapsed or gone wonky. I was devasted when I overworked my once promising bowl deliquesced to a gooey mess, but Jess restored hope and it ended up a super egg-cup (albeit for a large egg). Fantastic fun, and we decided to go further and take the paid option have our pieces fired, so we can go back and paint/glaze them in a few weeks and keep them as a reminder of a great afternoon out.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Brandham, attended May 2026: Great 1hr n half of learning to make a simple cylinder pot on the wheel.. tutor was brilliant, held the class well, lots of encouragement for everyone, taught one very well and gave hands on help if needed, then the second one was more independent but still gave clear methodical instructions came out from the class being a very happy atmosphere feeling feeling great productive therapy. No pressure to buy the taught one or the independently made one. Bought both happily as some how they looked like a matching pair. Looking forward to seeing them ready to paint in a couple of weeks. Well worth the price, would recommend it..
  • 5/5 from Holly Leung, attended May 2026: Friendly staff, instructor was very helpful and funny. The time went so quickly! Would go again and recommend to anyone
  • 4/5 from Abbie, attended May 2026: The teacher and his assistant were super lovely and helpful. The class was really enjoyable. I went with my boyfriend but the rest of the group was also lovely. Was just a little disappointing to have to pay extra to keep the pots you had made.
  • 5/5 from Chandima Johnson, attended Apr 2026: What a lovely afternoon. Grace was so professional and patient. :) really recommend this pottery studio!
  • 5/5 from Emma Siddon, attended Apr 2026: Loved my introduction to the wheel. I came away with a clear understanding of how to throw my first pots. Hands on help was given when needed but I was amazed I came away with some items that I had hand crafted. Really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was both fun and informative.
  • 5/5 from Kerry, attended Apr 2026: My friend and I did the pottery wheel intro class and had a great time. Our teacher was patient, encouraging and explained everything so clearly that we were soon able to grasp the basic skills and produce pots that are worth painting and keeping. We will be back and have already recommended it to others.
  • 5/5 from Alison Wilton, attended Apr 2026: Really good fun.
  • 5/5 from Jaimi-Sue Warner, attended Apr 2026: I booked this for Mother’s Day and we all had a great experience! The teacher was so calm and funny whilst educating everyone so clearly! Lovely atmosphere, we had a laugh and learned something new! X
  • 4/5 from Alan Fernandes, attended Apr 2026: The class, tutor was a fun experience. The only disappointment was where me and my partner couldn't get a seat next to (side by side) since she required assistance as our names apparently were not on the list. However we quickly were seated but on far end. Overall, the staff managing the class are super nice & 10/10 to them.
  • 5/5 from Katie Birchall, attended Mar 2026: I loved the session and learning the skills. It was really fun and we’re so excited to take our pots home. Fred was an amazing teacher. He was super helpful and explained everything in detail. My only feedback was we didn’t utilise the whole 90 minutes. It felt more like an hour. However, I’d gladly rebook and recommend anyone to go to a session.
  • 5/5 from Dagmar, attended Mar 2026: Jess was a great teacher. Very helpful, down to earth and personable. Had a great time :)
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2026: Everything was great and had a good laugh. It was daunting but a great experience and by the second attempt started to get to grips with it. The teaching was great with lots of help especially with everyone also needing help at the same time.
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Potton, attended Mar 2026: Excellent class, the instructor was very helpful whilst making the experience good fun.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2026: Went with friends as a joint birthday; teacher was very friendly, engaging and never once had a short patience or temper when everybody consistently needed help as it was far more difficult than my ego had anticipated.
  • 5/5 from Samantha Clark, attended Mar 2026: Relaxing class, teacher was very helpful, we will book again to try and make something else.
